We have an excellent DIY archery elk hunt in NW CO with some openings. Here are the details.
Unit 22; OTC licenses; 500 acres of exclusive private land including 200 acres of alfalfa field, very remote; Outfitter will put up portable blinds on edge of alfalfa fields and trails; River borders part of property; Huntable public land on two sides (~8000 acres); Pinon, juniper, low elevation, ~6200 ft.; 15 minutes from town; Do-it-yourself hunt; no guiding, food or lodging; 70% shot opportunity last year; Hunt Dates. – 1st) Sept. 2 - 6, 2nd) Sept. 9 - 13, 3rd) Sept 19 - 23, 4th) Sept. 26 - 30; Can drive on property, not on public land; 5-day hunt; $2250 per person archery elk hunt; $2500 per person if stay in main lodge 15 minutes away (food not included).

This hunt sounds like a pretty decent deal I booked a week. Private land and the accessibility to national forest is worth the price to me. And the fact you might not see another hunter.
