'morning All,

I hope everyone is well and in good spirit.

I spent most of last week down on the Utah Zion's unit until the threat of Flash Floods and heavy snow Weather warnings.

I played Tourist in the AM, hiking in the Park and out in the hunt unit in the afternoon's.

Thanks for taking the time to view All

Robb

Those dots are addictive. I needed counseling! I like the original more than the southwest style. Great pics!

I think your GOAT is wearing the wrong colors :)

Don't tell me you walked up the "Narrows" at this time of year? That water is chilly even during the summer months!! Go hike Angels Landing if you want some views. There is a razorback that's about 5' wide on that hike. You fall off either side and it's about a 500' drop. If you are afraid of heights I DO NOT recommend it though!

The wife and I did Zion and Bryce on our honeymoon back in ................................well, many many moons ago! ;-)

I remember that tunnel.......................and the "window"! We hiked the narrows and did some horseback riding. Utah is probably my favorite state!

Zion is one of the NPs that every parent should take their children to before they leave home. It's amazing. My other recommendations are the Grand Canyon, Bryce, Yosemite, Redwoods, Yellowstone, Glacier, Carlsbad Caverns, and Olympic. Such amazing examples of the USA's natural beauty.

And that Zion ram hunt would be an absolute dream. But unfortunately, I'm going to win the Kaiporowitz tag... :)

The tunnel can't be to "eeeerrrriiieeeee" or you would have had your phone down, two hands on the wheel and not taking pictures! Looks like a fun trip to a area I would like to visit.

On our family trip to Utah last year we would see sheep in the Mt Carmel area every day. That was one of my kids favorite areas. They just loved the strange formations and colors of the rock. We would walk for miles on nothing but solid rock.

We went around mid-April, and the amount of people in Zion was ridiculous!

Hey Thanks!

I wore my knee-ish high rubber insulated hunting boots to do the Narrows that morning.

I was going to do Angles Landing but the Flash Flood warnings started lighting up my phone so I bailed down before getting to far UP!

True that ~~ the sheep like the Golf course in Mnt. Carmel-------->

John, I was doing like 5 miles an hour in the tunnel, haha

Sure, some pix of the lil house inside to come

Iddy, if ya draw that tag, I'll go do a Photo/Scouting trip for ya early on!

Robb

Lot's of eBike rentals (in town) before the main entrance, to help keep the traffic down and the shuttle wasn't running yet but it can get crowded later in the mornings into the evening.

Yes~~ those National Geographic/Trails Illustrated maps are great.

For osme reason the pic of the boots I wore up the Narrows didn't post yesterday....

The only downside to going early like this is getting into area's of the hunt unit are still snow depth related, gated closed.

I didn't get into Blue Springs or Kolob reservoir's which is really good hunting option.

I didn't draw the bow only tag last year but they cut 60% of the tags from 5 tags down to just 2 tags and those 2 hunters had 0% success-------->

Yes a fellow bowsiter drew a Non-Ressy tag last year and he earned his Ram for sure.

I did get down towards Colorado City along the Utah/Az. state line and it was productive.

If any of ya draw a tag, for sure feel welcome to reach out to me for some pix and some more intel.

That wraps this Photo/Scouting trip up.

WTH is the difference between "fire wood" and "organic fire wood?"

From: KHunter

Hand cut with an axe made from sustainable iron ore sources hand gathered in nonmotorized access rainforests and that has never been treated with anything other than natural, non-petroleum based oils that is swung only by organic and nonGMO eating human doused only with all natural patchouli oil perfume.
