This is my 7 Bull elk tag in Az. as a Solo appl.
Some early date some late date and even 1 Early Rifle tag! Never applied for a Muzzy tag.
Az and Wyo Bull elk tags have been very good to me over the years.

Rob, I’ve had 5 NR AZ elk tags and I thought I was the luckiest non resident!! What tags have you drawn?? I’ve had a 22 Early rifle and 27, 8, 7W and 5BS archery. Almost forgot U also had a 13B mule deer strip tag. JD

Just a thought......maybe you could reach out and see if any Bowsiter would be willing to help you out with some intel on your unit. Maybe even do a little preseason scouting on it. I’ve heard of guys on here, doing that kind of stuff! ;-)

Anyone else put in for points only and mildly panic when you saw congrats you were Successful on the mid winter draw only to click details and see it was successful for points only? No? Only me?

Wife and I drew archery elk tags in our favorite unit! Good times! I always put my whole family in separately in hopes that somebody will draw. Can’t believe we both drew the same hunt!
Congrats guys! Points only here but it won't be long before I start applying for tags.
I’m a resident and again no tags! Going on 9 years since drawing for elk. It’s only getting tougher as more and more people want to hunt here. Even with a precious tag it’s looking more like CO with everyone riding ATVs on increasingly busy backroads. Entire extended families and friends are out scouting for a single tag holder is common. Places which were relatively quite are no longer so. Progress or regress? Certainly our hunt quality has taken a hit from what it used to be. Not sure there are any solutions just thinking that’s what we are heading towards. Sad. Good luck to all who drew!
Our clan did well this year. We drew 10 elk tags and 1 antelope tag.

Was driving back from Texas and my hunting buddy in AZ called to see if I drew. He checked for me and said the website said “congratulations, I was going hunting!”

21-22 ? years, I'd have to get into my folder to get the very first year.
Since 2014 (including this year ) I've drawn 3 Bull tags.

I've caught a few breaks over the years though, 'USO' draw year I had 3* points and the first year of the late date hunts I drew with 2 pts and the first year of the 50/50% tag spilt in the non-ressy pool I had 3* points.......and drew Early Rifle hunt.
I don't have a problem with the late date hunts as we have the Wasatch Front bow hunts that run into December, so I have yearly knowledge/experience bow hunting out of the Rut.

PS~~ *Edit and it's looking like 25 years as I have doc's saved going back to 1997, still not a bad run on Bull tag's.
