Received a cell picture this morning and first thought it was one of the 20 resident does feeding in last years Winter Rye. Seems kind of late to still be carrying both sides.

That's definitely the latest I've ever seen a whitetail still toting!

Typically here, the last few stragglers have shed by late March. The latest calendar date we've seen one shed here in years past, is April 10th, but that's pretty rare. We had two yearlings still carrying small racks as of this past weekend. One has since shed both sides, and the other small 8-pt still had both sides, as of last night:

I haven't checked my trail cams lately but I had one buck that had lost one side in early February.

The latest I’ve ever seen one carrying at home, was around April 10-15th. It was on opening day of turkey season.

I had 3 younger bucks walk across the road in front of me in the middle of April a few years ago all still carrying both sides here in southwest PA.
