never hunted 49 before what is the terrain like for glassing/hunting and hunting pressure? looking in and around the wilderness area.

The terrain in 49 is pretty tough, even by CO standards. Glassing can be tough. There are elk there but it can be really tough if they aren’t talking.

Glassing them up is easy! Getting to them is more difficult.

Real high. Top four in average elevation IIRC. Glassing is doable.

In would look "in" the wilderness area not "around" it. All of the 360+ bulls I know of have been shot in the wilderness.
