I've hunted MT near Big Sky for about 7 years out of last 10 years both DIY/Dropcamp's and have successfully killed 2 bulls so far but tired of looking over the shoulder for Grizzly's. 2 or 3 guys are going to purchase OTC Elk license and looking for recommendations on a Drop Camp area GPU, guide recommendations, hunter success with certain drop camp guides..... Looking at the SW corner of the state and thinking maybe zone 78 but am open to ideas? Also feel free to PM me with any info that you think would be helpful or certain guides.

The SW corner isn't OTC for archery elk tags anymore

Correct, unit 77,78 and771 are limited draw. Check the Colorado Big Game brochure on pg 39 for current OTC elk units. The SW elk area of Colorado has been experiencing low calf recruitment, thus less cow elk permits and OTC has gone to Limited draw.
