In a historically producing place for yrs past. It has been logged. The roost trees are still standing however i dont know what effect the logging has had. I hunted here once earlier this yr with no results. Its hard to lose a spot thats been successful for 30 yrs.

Hang in there budd. We had that happen on Monday, 5/3. In at 1st light, callin off & on for 1.5 hrs, no call backs. At 7:10am, here they came.

Back to my opening day spot where i killed the 17 lb jake. Just saw 4 jakes together on my walk in. In my shooting spot now all quiet. They were all gobbling yheir heads off when i saw them walkin in. Wuz holdin out for a longbeard but today any legal bird gets shot

Theres lots of gobbling way off.... prolly the 4 jakes but their not coming in and im not moving either. See ifin how long we can stand it. Top of the ridge wind is rockin!
