Myself and a few others from Bowsite made another trip to Mexico this past January, it's a fantastic place to bird watch. For a week, each of us got to see some amazing birds! Hope you all enjoy!

Did you know - A group of pelicans has many collective nouns, including a "brief", "pod", "pouch", "scoop", and "squadron" of pelicans.

Who would have thunk it, pelicans in the desert.

No bugs, but I had a mouse chew a hole in an empty water bottle. Found that out mid stream. Pinched er off and made a clutch move & grabbed another one. That one had a hole too.

Lusas, I was hunting Coues in Mexico 130 miles SSE of Nogales Mex.. In the morning around the tent blind and back in the thicket, there must have been dozens of them. Out they all came to drink. Neat bird. The other bird was a dove, hundreds of them came to water right a first light. This hawk had his pick.

Nick, you are correct, lots of different species. Thanks for the post.

When I was down in Compeche three weeks ago Occelated Turkey hunting I asked if I could shoot and bring back white winged tree ducks or the long tailed jays? Can’t send them back. I did want to open up on those Chacalacas that are so annoying in the morning. One tree full starts then another and another. Remind me of Guinea hens. I always enjoy listening to and seeing different birds when traveling. Thanks fo the pictures.

Down where I was there were fireflys and some other bioluminescent insects that would light up like Diana’s when the flashlight hit them.
