It's Colorado week! Good luck to all. Expecting some large point jumps just hope it's not a 2.5 point jump for my unit. Anyone guesses on which day we will hear?

I'm betting on Tues for deer and Wed for elk. I'm almost as interested to see the overall point creep landscape in deer tags as I am to find out my results.

Landowners are on the same draw so their results are out at the same time- However I don’t think they can check online but need to call the program to find out or wait for the voucher to be mailed.

Wild wilderness is correct about landowners. I'm not even sure they can call but have to wait for vouchers to be mailed out.

Treeline ust be either from Wyoming or not put in for nonresident elk...that is the slowest state. But CO is a close second, why can't we all use Nevada's IT contractor.

Not looking good for me. No CC hit and now I have one more deer point (as of May 8, 2021). That means point creep went from 7 points guaranteed last year to not drawing this year with 10 points. Off the charts.

I put in for hunt code "X" for deer. Last year I drew "X" on second choice, second choice cleared and most of 3rd (if not all, I have to check). This year I did not draw it on second choice!!!! I'm shocked, and for real butt hurt. .

PECO - sounds like the same unit my buddy and I put in for. We both had PP as 1st choice and the unit as 2nd. I drew but he didn't. Apparently a lot more people picked that one as their 1st or 2nd choice this year.

Looking through the draw recaps. One thing that really stuck out to me was unit 65 mule deer. Last year the early rifle was 50% at 11 points. It didn't have much point creep but took 10 points or better for the last 4 years and was pretty consistent. This year it was 100% at 5 points. Apparently everyone with higher points went after the later season hunts this year. Can't say I blame people for skipping the early rifle hunt there. I've been in OTC units with less people around those dates.

What stood out to me from the recaps is that I heard of someone who drew with the same number of points I had this year so my first thought was, "Cool! I should be good for next year." However, when I looked into it the person who drew was 1 of 48 who drew at that level so even if just the other 47 put in next year, let alone anyone else like me who didn't apply this year because I knew I wasn't quite there puts in, or others who have even more points but are giving up the points game, I could be on the outside looking in once again. :(

Without even looking at the recaps again, I believe I know the species & unit you're talking about. I had the same # points as you, and the point creep in that unit was exactly why I burned them elsewhere last year. Probably will be 4 to 5 years before you're guaranteed to draw.

My favorite CO elk unit jumped two points this year. A few popular archery deer units appear to have gone the other direction.
