I’m finally hunting after 5 hours driving around in the rain. It was 90f in MA what’s up with the 40f and rain in New York?

I don’t know what these New Yorkers did to these birds but if I just pull over in the road a hen 200 yards away starts running away full speed into the woods. I had a hen 75 yards away start flying away at the sight of my car driving normal speed. This is really different than my suburban mass birds!

Not a gobble to be heard. Super challenging. I’m held up by some pretty good ag land just gonna sit and wait. Got settled at 9:30a after walking miles and miles w no gobbles. Found this tripod- he’d probably have better luck with some cover? He’s 25 feet from a great dark conifer.
