So Canadians coming back won't be required to quarantine for 14 days if fully vaccinated. I guess you're fully vaccinated and American you're still a risk. *rolls eyes*

None of this stuff has made sense. Letting some vaccinated folks come while restricting others is just more nonsense.

It sure makes it tough to make an August 1st sheep hunt in the Yukon with no idea what the heck is going to happen. It’s like it’s a big secret. These liberal loser politicians are such chicken sh*t fools. They are afraid to act on just about anything except their crazed agendas.

LOL, in Manitoba, they just set our current restrictions until June 26. Until June 26 we aren't even allowed to have a non-family member in the house. So not sure how vaccinated Americans will be coming across the border on June 22.

But you're right, there is talk from a federal level at least about it opening, which is certainly positive. I would not be counting on coming up for any tail end of spring bear season.

I’m hopeful as well, but my question (out of ignorance) would be: even if Canada opens the border, what roll do the individual Provence/territory have in allowing NR in their borders?

If I can get into Canada, but BC makes me quarantine that does little good.

Obviously no one “knows” just wondering out loud i guess.

Canada's Trudeau says he discussed border with Biden, but no deal (Reuters) - Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Sunday he has spoken with U.S. President Joe Biden about how to lift pandemic-related border restrictions between the two countries but made clear no breakthrough has been achieved. U.S. and Canadian business leaders have voiced increasing concern about the ban on non-essential travel in light of COVID-19 that was first imposed in March 2020 and renewed on a monthly basis since then. The border measures do not affect trade flows. The border restrictions have choked off tourism between the two countries. Canadian businesses, especially airlines and those that depend on tourism, have been lobbying the Liberal government to relax the restrictions. Canada last week took a cautious first step, saying it was prepared to relax quarantine protocols for fully vaccinated citizens returning home starting in early July. Trudeau, speaking after a Group of Seven summit in Britain, said he had talked to Biden “about coordinating measures at our borders as both our countries move ahead with mass vaccination.” Canada is resisting calls for the border measures to be relaxed, citing the need for more people to be vaccinated. The United States is ahead of Canada in terms of vaccination totals. “We will continue to work closely together on moving forward in the right way but each of us always will put at the forefront the interests and the safety of our own citizens,” Trudeau told a televised news conference when asked the Biden conversation. “Many countries, like Canada, continue to say that now is not the time to travel,” Trudeau added, though he said it is important to get back to normalcy as quickly as possible. Issue is: Biden does not want to and will not issue a Vaccine Passport.... Trudeau wants to go by Passports to make sure those crossing into Canada have had the vaccine. He wants a passport for International Travelers but not for Domestic Travelers. So sounds like Canada has no choice but to wait for herd immunity...

Whatever you believe about the cdc and their science. The lady from cdc just said a couple days ago, vaccinated people can travel safely, and are of no threat to infect others. If this had anything to do with actually keeping people safe that should be enough to open up completely right there. It's 100% about control and politically motivated. His base is all for staying shutdown and taking all handouts they can get. If i was a betting man I'd say Sept opening to only vaccinated people. He could give a crap about what he's doing to small businesses and anyone related to the travel industry. You know the people who actually work!

from canada north outfitters today:

The backbone of Inuit Life is the ability to travel. Traveling on the land to hunt, to fish, to gather country food, to see family in other communities. Time spent with family and friends keeping the mind and body healthy. The travel restrictions we have endured in the south have as we all know impacted our mental and physical well-being. My Nunavut spring 2021 trip confirmed any doubt that the ability to travel is incredibly important, whether you are a gypsy like I am where traveling is like breathing or a periodic traveller adventurer it is time to travel! Nunavut will now be accepting vaccinated travellers this season and we have been told we will get news on the Canadian border opening plans in the next 5 to 7 days! Long awaited positive news and traveling!! We will be doing an update next week as we are clear on travel into Canada.

More bullshit, not just in Canada, USA is not much better

Canadians who have been dosed with the AstraZeneca shot may not be allowed into some events in the U.S. until the Food and Drug Administration gives the vaccine the green light. Rocker Bruce Springsteen is reopening his live Broadway show in New York next week, but fans who want to attend need to show proof that they have been inoculated with vaccines approved by the FDA, such as Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson. Those who received AstraZeneca, yet to be approved for use in the U.S., would not be allowed into the event, setting what may be a disappointing precedent for Canadians looking to attend events across the border.

I started watching the most recent season of Lost, only because one of the contestants is a relatively well known bowyer and seemed like a cool dude when listening to him on Aron Snyders podcast. Anyway, they are doing the show in BC. All the contestants travelled into BC, quarantined for whatever period of time they were required to, THEN were dropped off in the wilderness, alone, for an intended 100 days! Alone. By themselves........but quarantined prior.....makes sense.

So, why could a TV show import cast & crew into BC, but Ned and Shug and hundreds, thousands of others can't get in? What am I missing???

I just saw or heard on the news yesterday that Trudope said he would like to see an acceptable approve vaccine card or passport before the border could fully open and that it would probably take until at least to September for that to happen. Like Skull said what if you have a vaccine that is now not approved in some countries for what ever reason ( I believe the AZ was not approved because of possible blood clots not because it doesn't work against the virus ). Anyway that's why I didn't apply for anything this fall !

The vaccine card is a bunch of crap. I had COVID in January and just last week took the anti body test and showed positive. A lot of Doctors are now saying if you had COVID and have the anti-body’s you don’t need the vaccine. So basically I would have to get a vaccine I don’t need just to travel.

For Canadians they can’t stop you from driving back to your own country, vaccinated or not, Covid test or not. You do have to tell them what your 14 day isolation plan is, which could be camping in the bush. It is long past time the West should have seperated from the rest of Canada; hope to see it happen in my lifetime. Spike, where are you getting the 75% fully vaccinated info from? Says here, 75% with one, 20% with two? Also says Biden and Trudeau have agreed to keep current measures in place till July 21. Pressure from the USA needs to increase!! Even USA democrats are pissed off saying it’s completely illogical!!

We have been asking what will be the final goalpost that has to be reached before the Border opens to others...

Was announced today that Canada considers the goal post to be reached when 75% of Canadians are FULLY vaccinated. CBC.

*** ONLY Canadian Citizens will be allowed across into Canada when 20% of Canadians are FULLY vaccinated. Canadian Citizens coming into Canada have to have both doses. Canada has reached the 20% threshold and start the first phase on July 1rst.

***All this will be announced Monday the 21rst of June. They worked out this plan at the G7 meeting.

Canada went from 7% fully vaccinated to 21% in a VERY short time period. I expect Canada to be close to FULLY vaccinated by hunting season.

Also, Trudeau says the "Vaccine Passport" is nearing completion. Will have the passport ready to download onto phones before the 75% fully vaccinated threshold is met.

So, you can expect that anyone crossing into Canada will have to be fully vaccinated with "PROOF" of being vaccinated or you will not be allowed into Canada. GET VACCINATED!!! Or wait till 2023 or later.

I tried to put the link's and have no idea how

20-Jun-21
Ok spike, I get it. Americans will only be allowed in when Canada is 75% fully vaxxed. That will be a very difficult number to reach because sooo many people after getting the first dose got so sick they won’t take the 2nd.

From: Powder
20-Jun-21
Spike, Do you know if they are referring to all ages or just those over age 12? Because the numbers you are referring to are only for those over age 12. If you look at the entire population the numbers drop to 65% and 18%. Getting to 75% fully vaccinated of the entire population will be much more difficult considering there isn't an approved vaccine for those under 12.

I do not know a soul that will refuse a second dose. I got the first dose. Sore arm is all. The second dose wiped me out. For just a day. My wife the same. 2 days later, was like nothing happened. Our town is pretty well fully vaccinated.

From what I understood before I got the second dose, you will have a more severe flu like reaction. *** Meaning that your immune system is working. The flu like symptoms are saying you are building immunity against Covid 19. If you have no reaction when you get the 2nd dose, question might be that your system is not building immunity.

I had no choice but to get the doses. I don't like Trudeau, I actually can't stand seeing his face on TV, but I want the border open. I believe in the Vaccines. Just get vaccinated or don't plan on coming to Canada till 2023!!! That simple...

Powder... I dont think they plan on under 12

Fight and be a vaccine conspiracy theorist and go bankrupt and continue to live in a communist country ...or hurry to get the border open so you can stay in the hunting business and fight for your rights back. Cant fight for your rights when your down.... your choice Mike!!

It is unbelievable how little news or care this topic elicits out of the overall Canadian population. I guess for most this topic we care about so much doesn’t impact their lives much at all. The government can put their thumb on some people and pretend to be acting in the best interest of the rest of their minions.

OTTAWA -- Canada will be lifting most international travel restrictions for Canadians, permanent residents, and certain foreign nationals who are fully vaccinated, starting July 5.

Effective July 5 at 11:59 p.m. EDT travellers who are currently able to enter Canada under the existing rules will be able to do so without having to self-isolate for 14 days, taking a test on day eight, or having to stay in a quarantine hotel upon arrival, if they are fully immunized against COVID-19.

“As we've told Canadians all along, easing measures at the border will happen as we see our communities increasingly become safe,” said Health Minister Patty Hajdu in announcing the new plan on Monday. “If you are planning to travel internationally this summer, remember to check the requirements of the country that you're visiting.”

“It is the travellers responsibility to plan ahead, to understand their obligations, and to ensure that they are eligible. They should do this before heading to the border,” Public Safety Minister Bill Blair said.

In order to be considered fully vaccinated, travellers will have had to have received a full series of a vaccine, or a combination of vaccines that have been authorized by Health Canada — Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD, and Johnson & Johnson — at least 14 days prior to entering the country. Officials briefing reporters on the new procedures said that the vaccinations do not have to be administered in Canada, and the list of applicable vaccines could change over time.

Newsletter sign-up: Get The COVID-19 Brief sent to your inbox Proof of vaccination will be required in order to be exempted from the quarantine measures, and travellers are being asked to either have a paper or digital copy of their vaccination documentation, and will have to submit COVID-19-related information into the federal government’s ArriveCAN app before arriving in Canada. This is the first step towards a vaccination passport, and the onus of using a digital program prompted questions to officials about the potential limitations this poses for those who are unable to utilize the technology.

The government is requiring all travelers — whether arriving by land or air — to now disclose vaccination information at the border including vaccination status and the timing and brand of vaccine received, they say to help identify “vaccine-escape variants.”

Among the information the federal government is making mandatory to submit through the app: travel and contact details; quarantine plans, and a COVID-19 symptom self-assessment.

People are being told to download the “most up-to-date” version of the ArriveCAN app being released on July 5. Entering fraudulent information into the app will result in fines of up to $750,000 or six months in prison.

The requirement to be asymptomatic remains, as do the mandatory pre-departure and on-arrival molecular testing requirements for fully vaccinated travellers. Travellers will have to have an adequate quarantine plan in place in case border agents determine a period of self-isolation is required, and will have to keep copies of their test results for 14 days upon arrival.

If a fully vaccinated traveller does test positive they will be required to follow local public health guidance and quarantine requirements.

In situations where unvaccinated children are travelling with fully vaccinated parents, they will not have to stay in a hotel, but will have to isolate at home. In this situation, federal officials said that the parents will be able to leave the house during their children’s isolation.

This first step in a “phased” border reopening changes nothing for travellers who have yet to receive a vaccine, or who have just had one shot. These travellers will still have to abide by the full suite of existing travel measures, including the three-night stay in a quarantine hotel and a 14-day self-isolation, despite a federal panel calling for the quarantine hotel program to cease.

The government also announced Monday that in this first step of reopening, international commercial flights will continue to be funneled through the Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, Toronto Pearson International Airport, Calgary International Airport and Vancouver International Airport.

There has yet to be any new information or timelines presented about when Canada’s international and U.S. travel restrictions will be further eased, with the latest extension in effect until July 21. The government continues to “strongly advise” that Canadians avoid non-essential travel outside of the country.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is currently in self-isolation following his recent trip to Europe for the G7 Summit and other high-level meetings with world leaders.

The move to begin gradually easing border restrictions comes as Canada hit a key vaccination milestone over the weekend, seeing 75 per cent of those eligible having one shot and 20 per cent fully vaccinated.

Blair said Monday that while the border restrictions—introduced 15 months ago early in the COVID-19 pandemic—were never going to be permanent, a higher rate of vaccinations both in Canada and abroad will be needed before throwing out all international travel limits is safe.

“We recognize that people are anxiously awaiting to reopen the border,” Blair said. “The results of data collected in the first phase, such as the test results of vaccinated travelers will also help to help us to determine the timing of future border measures. Discussions are ongoing with provincial territorial, and international partners, with the aim of allowing for the essential travel of fully vaccinated foreign nationals into Canada, in the coming months.”

No Americans yet. This only affects Canadian citizens. There are many that live in the States (or elsewhere) but retain Canadian citizenship and have family there. That is who this is directed at.

From the looks of it, they will need to have a negative test before getting to the border and another one after they arrive. Then they have to quarantine until the results of the second test come back. This will be expensive for a family but at least there is a way for them to do it.

The Government will also be using the results of the second test to see how many people are coming through carrying the virus but are not aware. If that number is significant (and I think they will use ANY positive number as significant) it will affect how fast they open for non-residents.

He moved the goal post this afternoon again!!

I’ve lived in three: US, Israel, Canada

There are parts I love about all three, and things I dislike about all three.

Obama care destroyed my healthcare in the US, so it’s actually been a big improvement for me personally since moving to Alberta.

On the other hand, the winters here (which last 9 months, apparently) are absolutely abysmal.

Countries have the right to secure their borders anyway they please (that’s a conservative principal, last I checked). And if that country’s citizens don’t like the way the leaders do so then vote them out.

If it's only politics and not science, that's truly shameful.

Here is what my outfitter just forwarded me from the Yukon Outfitters Association:

YOA Update, June 21, 2021 Border Mobility Update Vaccinations and regional prevalence continue to trend favorably. As of June 21, Canada-wide first doses are at 67% and full vaccination is at 19.7%. Much of Canada has now met the 75% vaccination rate target for first dose. Second doses (full vaccination) are on target to exceed 20% by the end of July. The stated target by Public Health Agency Canada is 75% first dose and 20% fully vaccinated for all eligible Canadians. Government of Canada is rolling out plans to increase border mobility for fully vaccinated travelers (with supporting proof of vaccination). The ArriveCan app will play a key role in the provision of proof of vaccination (details in development) (https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/coronavirus-disease-covid-19/arrivecan.html). Fully vaccinated Canadians and permanent residents will be able to enter Canada without undergoing quarantine starting July 5th, with provision of proof of Canadian-approved vaccination (from at least 14 days prior to entry). Currently, there is no provision of entry for non-essential international travelers inclusive of international hunters. US/Canada border remains closed until at least July 21. Our Alaska entry option continues to be presented to Yukon gov. to enable Yukon bound hunters (non-Canadian) to hopefully be some of the first to enter Yukon. Concern with respect to the “Delta” variant and the potential emergence of other variants from global COVID hotspots remains an impediment to immediate broad relaxation of Canada border restrictions. Pressure from an enormous range of impacted sectors will hopefully result in border mobility for US hunters as soon as deemed an acceptable risk by Public Health Agency Canada. There remains high certainty that unvaccinated travelers will be faced with the current testing and mandatory quarantine restrictions. No indication of time has been made on when US hunters could be enabled entry.

Looking good getting my second shot tonight I’m ready to go hunting, it won’t be long know

The Federal government announced Canada is set to receive over two million doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine every week until the end of August, in addition to shipments from other vaccine manufacturers.

Canada’s accelerating vaccination effort has put the country on track to reach key benchmarks for reopening the U.S. border as early as next month. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government has begun citing a 75 per cent two-dose vaccination rate as the threshold to lift border restrictions. That number is about 20 per cent now. As wide as that gap is, the latest vaccine delivery schedule suggests it could close considerably within the next month, raising the prospect that Canada could move ahead with a comprehensive reopening before the end of the critical summer tourism season. Procurement Minister Anita Anand, in a June 15 interview on The Bridge podcast, said the share of Canadians fully vaccinated against COVID-19 could hit 80 per cent by the end of July. Trevor Tombe, a University of Calgary economics professor who monitors the data, said there’s a better than 50 per cent chance that Canada will reach that threshold in that timeframe.

“I would bet some money on it,” Tombe said in a phone interview. However, to achieve the government’s goal, Canada will have to significantly increase its current rate of under 500,000 jabs a day. Going slow Up to now, the Trudeau government’s cautious approach to the U.S. border has drawn condemnation from business groups and expatriates for being overly strict at a time when cases are plunging. The border has been closed to most travel since March 2020, and last week the governments extended the restrictions until at least July 21. The rules have kept families apart, shut out tourists and students, and crimped the U.S.-Canada trading relationship, among the world’s largest. Although trucks and trains continued to move goods, Canada’s travel-related businesses lost an estimated $20 billion (US$16 billion) in revenue last year, according to one estimate. Tombe said his latest projections have the country meeting the 75 per cent threshold on Aug. 5, but new information on vaccine supply suggests that forecast could be “very conservative,” he said. That includes 11 million additional Moderna Inc. shots Trudeau and Anand announced Friday. Canada’s decision to mix and match vaccines, including the shot from AstraZeneca Plc and Oxford University, is also helping it ramp up. At a news conference on Tuesday, the prime minister said vaccination rates weren’t the only factor the government was considering. Officials, he said, are also factoring in the prevalence of variants and overall COVID-19 case counts in Canada and abroad. He said the situation was quickly improving. “We’re doing things gradually, but we’re talking about weeks and not months anymore,” Trudeau said, referring to the gradual reopening of the border. Another wild card could be vaccine hesitancy, which appears to be less of a factor in Canada than it is elsewhere. More than 25 million Canadians, or two-thirds of the population, had received one dose as of Tuesday, according to the COVID-19 Tracker Canada website, which combines federal and provincial data. That includes 7.8 million who have received two doses, for a total of about 33 million doses administered so far. To reach the 75 per cent threshold for full vaccination -- equal to 28.5 million people -- the country would need to administer another 24 million doses.

That would require picking up the pace considerably. At the current rate of about 432,000 doses a day, Canada would be about 8 million jabs short of 75 per cent full vaccination by July 31. Growing vaccine supply will help close the gap, as long as there isn’t too much vaccine hesitancy. “If we encounter the U.S. problem whereby willing arms are trailing off then it could conceivably be later,” Derek Holt, an economist at the Bank of Nova Scotia in Toronto, said by email. According to Holt, Canada could reach the 75 per cent threshold as early as the middle of July or as late as mid-August, depending on whether demand trails off. Trudeau, at his news conference, acknowledged the urgency of opening the border. “Everyone wants to get back to a more normal summer,” he said.

Actually, Canadians have it made. Walk across the border into the US, claim you are Mexican, and you will be given free healthcare, food, and lodging. You can cross back when you want. Our government under President Poopy Pants is doing that now in a city below us, busing them North, and putting them into free housing. Wait until winter hits. One thing Canadians can be thankful for is a secure border, ours is a joke. A joke that will one day cost many lives.

I certainly don’t believe any Canadian outfitter has any idea when the border might open. We just have to plan on taking greatly discounted Canadians and try to turn a profit or spend more money in hope that the border opens and we are ready for Americans. It’s hard to do both.

Canadians and Americans need to contact their politicians and demand an opening! Vax rates are nearly the same in both countries so it makes no sense to not have it open?!

Been after both senators from OK here but state seems to have no interest in the Canadian border. The old one only wants to fly his plane n the other seems lost in issues unrelated to the oil industry. He better pay attention to both the Canadian border and oil...both are soon to be seriously ticking of both Canadian and American voters.

There may be some free trade issues at this point if commerce is being restricted by Canada contrary to the US then it’s no longer a legal process.

The issue with putting pressure on Government is the Government is anti tourism and hunting/fishing in particular. All efforts to reopen or get some kind of Government help are met with anti hunting activists attacking the industry and anyone trying to voice concerns. Trudeau is not an outdoors minded individual by any stretch and has no interest in helping tourism period.

Nice to see the Tampa Bay Lightning finish off Trudope’s Canadiens on Florida home ice. The families of the players who weren’t allowed into Canada were able to watch the spanking completed in Florida. Good for them!

I'm really getting tired of all the VAX SHAMING going on right now..................every other tv commercial it seems is an advertisement for getting vaccinated..............and the attitudes are bordering on bullying! My wife is not vaccinated due to health reasons and she is getting tired of all the snide remarks and attitudes she is getting when people find out she is not vaccinated. I told her to tell those people to MIND THEIR OWN DAMN BUSINESS, shut their pieholes and wear a mask if they are that scared of getting the virus! This is absolutely ridiculous! : (

If one doesn’t want to or need to be vaccinated, who cares. As a 74 year old volunteer firefighter, both my wife and I were vaccinated in January because we handle a lot of ambulance runs. Someone not getting vaccinated does not affect me because I am 99% immune according to my doctor. It’s called free choice. We have 5 guys who refused the shots and that is fine with the rest of us. They are all young and probably are fine without it. People shaming others basically should shut up I guess.

Unvaccinated tourists won't be welcome in Canada for 'quite a while,' PM Trudeau says OTTAWA -- Amid calls to present a comprehensive border reopening plan before thinking about calling a federal election, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that it’s going to be “quite a while” yet before Canada is ready to welcome in any tourists who are unvaccinated. In response to a question from CTV News about when the tourism sector could start accepting vaccinated or unvaccinated travellers from abroad, Trudeau said: “I can tell you right now that's not going to happen for quite a while.” “We need to continue to ensure that the safety of Canadians, of all the sacrifices that so many people have made over the past many, many months, are not for nothing,” Trudeau said Thursday during a press conference in British Columbia. Newsletter sign-up: Get The COVID-19 Brief sent to your inbox The prime minister said he doesn’t want to jeopardize the progress made in the fight against the pandemic by throwing open the border too quickly. Earlier on Thursday, Ottawa business owners and the Canadian Travel and Tourism Roundtable held a press conference imploring the federal government to put forward a plan that will allow the tourism sector to plan for what their summer travel season will look like. “Business owners aren't picky, what they ask for is a plan that they can rely on, a plan that allows for preparation, for rehiring and for retooling, a predictable path forward that creates confidence for the future. And they need lead time to prepare,” said Canadian Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Perrin Beatty. “Canadians need clarity and certainty, which today we don't have, and the goalposts keep moving. It's time to pick a goal, and to stick with it.” Beatty said that because governments typically ease off of major decision making once an election is called, the industry is worried that if a border plan isn’t put in place soon, it may be months before one comes to fruition. The industry stakeholders said that their sector has lost billions in revenue already, and the prospect of being closed for business for a second summer is hard to think about given the high vaccination rates among Canadians. “What's been frustrating and infuriating is being on the government regulated yo-yo, not knowing if you're going to be open, when you're going to be open,” said Joe Kowalski, founder of Wilderness Tours. “The people that are making these decisions do not have a clue how the real world works.” Earlier on Thursday, Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam said that the Public Health Agency of Canada is currently looking at the data related to the updated policy that came into effect earlier this week, easing up on quarantine requirements for Canadian citizens, permanent residents and select others who are fully vaccinated. “What is the test positive rate? And what are we finding in the actual travellers coming in right now in this in very initial precautionary phase?” Tam said. “That might then help us adjust the next phases moving forwards in terms of what's the testing regime that's appropriate for vaccinated travellers, for example.” Trudeau was asked to, but did not commit to putting some goalposts in place for when even fully vaccinated foreign nationals could start visiting Canada, with the ongoing border restrictions continuing to limit non-essential travel for most. The prime minister said that he understands the impatience to return to as much of pre-pandemic normalcy as possible but the government remains hesitant to put dates or timelines on the table for when the month-over-month extensions of the international and Canada-U.S. border restrictions could be lifted. “Before we get to reflecting on what international travellers who are not fully vaccinated might be able to do… The next step will be looking at what measures we can allow for international travellers who are fully vaccinated. That will be our first focus, and we will have more to say in the coming weeks,” Trudeau said, promising continued aid for the tourism businesses. “We will continue the reopening of our borders, but we will do it in a way that ensures the ongoing safety of all Canadians.”

Bou- yes, for a certain subset of the population. Apparently those who are on immunosuppressive meds after organ transplant don’t do well! We have a good friend who is still recovering after a reaction to the first Moderna shot back in January. Spent 8 days in the hospital and has NO antibodies.............. He was the recipient of a kidney transplant years ago. He obviously will NOT be getting a second vaccination!

Trudea is already on the campaign trail. Flying all over Canada visiting the provinces and announcing millions and millions of dollars. He has shaved his beard off that he used to get his second term and gone back to baby face for a repeat of first term.

Somehow some way, most of Canada has been duped into thinking that having the border closed is good for us. They also think spending money like it's cotton candy is also good and Trudeau just panders to both for votes with absolute zero regard for any worry at all about our actual country. Because people are so short sighted. It's like the country is made up of 4 year old's that just want more candy and movies, and he just feeds it to them every time they whine and one day, he'll be gone and some poor sap will be left with the mess. In the mean time, the few 4 year old's in the crowd that aren't whining are fed candy and movies along with the rest of them.

Seems ridiculous to not let the vaccinated border cross. It would be a simple means to stimulate economic activity without measurably increasing risk, and would even provide a carrot to support Trudeau and Biden's goals of increasing vaccination rates.

WWJ) -- It may not be too much longer until borders reopen from the U.S. into Canada.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Canada could start allowing fully vaccinated Americans across the border as of mid-August for non-essential travel.

He also added that our neighbors to the north should be in position to welcome fully-vaccinated travelers from all countries by earlier September.
