My son drew this youth any sex deer tag in idaho 28-1. It's a very small section of 28 just west and contiguous with the town of Salmon. Its weird that the hunt zone not his one is so small, there's some irrigated ground at the base of the mountains near town. Curious if anyone knows the history of why this hunt was created or what the fish and game was thinking. Was it because of the damage to the crops in the bottom ground or maybe too many deer getting hit by car's in town, deer pop over objective. I haven't spoke to one outfitter yet who know anything about this unit. Anyone on here live up in Salmon or close by that can provide any intel?
