Is it needed? Not necessarily. A back hoodie or shirt and what not works for a lot of people, but we had two guys, so figured why not.

Paint your cone white, wear black . When they are rutting just dont get winded and you are good. Friend of a friend owns Montana Decoy. For moose it's optional . Can be deadly in the right set up. Good luck and have fun!

thanks guys this is my third Maine hunt and I have been on 4 newfoundland hunts for moose. This will be the last time I draw for Maine so I'm getting intense on the research

I'm 68 years old. I have to wait 3 years before I can apply again. I may try in 3 years but the clock is certainly ticking.

Even as a resident with 3 Maine tags you are doing pretty good. I have no idea if your moose are going to react like Alaska Yukon or Shiras. You must be doing something right!!

Yes I am truly blessed to be drawn for a moose tag about every 10 years. It's better to be lucky than smart
