Good morning folks it’s been a little out of the ordinary the last year and a half looks like things r going to open up some. Most of our guys can’t make it this fall if someone’s up for a fall hunt along the Riding mountains would love to have yous. Dates r Aug 16 week, then any week starting sept 6th through middle of October. The bear numbers r up shouldn’t be a problem getting bears this fall the berries froze out not sure what the oak nuts r doing there’s always some hanging around regardless. Thanks Joe for putting that on for me, Taylor Peterson made that video his first mb bear it was a dandy, we were up for a horse back ride in the park a few weeks back never seen so much bear crap on the road usually see some in the fall but that was out of the ordinary that time of year. A few bear in the field from earlier this summer the date wasn’t changed on that camera, we can’t start baiting along the mountain 14 days before season.

Looks like August 2 we can start feeding. That’s a big one he will be close to 400, we only had one bear come in the yard this year it was a beautiful orange color about 250 don’t remember seeing one that color he may be back. There was a good size chocolate checking out the camp bait a couple days ago seen him more than a few times this summer I think the first guy that gets a chance at him will take him he’s nice.

Just went for water for the plants seen a bear heading across a field there on the move looking for dinner, should be lots at the baits no spring hunt for two springs. Got 14 baits out just checked a few around here no shortage right now better come kill one still room.

August 23rd we have a crew if all goes well with the border bs it should be fun. We may not tell u what u want to hear at times, but we tell it like it is. Very few disappointments over the years if any can’t recall. Nice bear here.

Looks like might have only next week for hunters this fall not going to keep baiting if nobody is interested for beginning of September to bad would be one of the better falls I think. Glad to see US folks r getting into Canada lately, was going to close up the chicken coupe last night it was pretty dark seen a couple shadow by the fence what the heck is that two stinking bears watching me about 15 yards away scared me for a second clapped my hands and gave them a holler of they went the boys will have to watch when they come out of there cabins at night there around the yard pretty regular.

One guy passed on a 400 class bear and he was kicking himself after hope he not still kicking himself after he gets home there not big cause there stupid, all I can do is give them the opportunity. 460 smith and Wesson Gary mark was using. Here’s my good friend Greg Miller he’s been here don’t khow how many time ,he uses rifle, cross bow, bow, muzzleloader he tried them all here this time he used the bow he is deadly with what ever weapon he uses.

Thanks guys, Well I got a story from last night when I dropped the guys out on the stand there was a brown sow with two Cubs on the bait the Cubs were up the tree we had a hard time getting her to leave when she finally left I got to baiting. The guys were getting set up Dave yells there’s a bear coming in I thought the sow is back same color and size threw a stick at him off he goes get done baiting the guys r set up off I go. Just loading up back at the truck get a text bear down come back, ok so a head back to pick up the guys and bear when I get back to the bait there’s a brown bear 3 year old doesn’t want to leave bait but I chase him back in the woods up the tree he goes looking for dead bear this brown comes down won’t leave so I thought your getting the bear spray I chase him up the tree give him some spray just short of hitting him try again same thing then all of a sudden I’m getting bear spray drift so I’m coffing crying go back to bait the guys r there the drift is getting them too there not happy with guide we’re all hacking away trying to get out of this thing. We go look for bear find him so I go back for sleigh get back to bait same story this spray is still hanging in the air go back get bear haul back to bike same thing again we’re all coffing that bear spray is nothing fool with only tried it once about 15 years ago never had a problem this time 10 minutes this is still in the air, there’s a pump short barrel shot gun is going to replace the bear spray lol. We all had a good laugh after the boys said they didn’t know first time hunters got anitiation with bear spray lol.

Concerning my 460S&W , you are correct that the round is a pistol round but TC came out with a rife barrel for the round and it’s a fluted barrel and it’s 20” long. They call it a Kahtadin barrel. It makes for a fantastic bear gun. I’m shooting a 300 grain soft point bullet that my friend handloads for me.
