Found this shed years ago. Had the buck on camera. Then found the antler the next spring. Must have lost his manliness before he finished growing. Anybody else ever find one?

I'd suspect that was more a broken antler beam than a shed, but that's depending on the time of year especially if it was found in late August or early September. I base that on the fact we've found a few like that several years ago at our lease.

Crazy this thread pops up today when I just found one yesterday. The one I found seems to be a broken antler and I picked it up not thinking about how bad it would smell. I still don't have my greatest sense of smell due to COVID so I'm sure it was actually worse in reality. Kind of a cool find though.

Thanks for sharing GBTG...
Yeah, kinda makes ya wonder what time time of year it was shed or broke... Looks like it could have been broke because lack of burs at the base... The tip and the points look broke too... If it was gnawed by critters, ya'd think velvet would be missing... Regardless, it's very unique...

Lack of burr and tips I believe coincides with the time it quit growing.
