Who do you guys recommend? The one person I had in mind is moving and will not be able to do my ram, I am expecting to do a pedestal mount. Would love to hear what you guys say!

Thanks for the recommendations! I have a few guys to call!

I’ll also suggest Greg Brumfeld. He’s over in Palisade but does exceptional work. He does more sheep in a year than most guys do in 5 years.

Barry did my ram and he did a fantastic job. He did retire because his hands got crippled up.

Call Tate at Owl Ridge Taxidermy. He is one of the best up and coming sheep taxidermist around.

Greg Brumfield is award winning for a reason, can't go wrong there either.

Ed Schlein at Elk Ridge Taxidermy in Black Forest (by Colo Springs) is terrific. And super close for a quick drop off and help caping head right after your hunt.

And he has mounted a ton of the big sheep coming from your unit, including his own.

Greg Brumfield for sure. He’s a neighbor.

I second the vote for Ed Schlein. He did my antelope a while back and the sheep he had in the shop looked incredible.

Barry is still in business: Alpine CTW Taxidermy, Barry Smith and Steven Minckley, Wheatridge Colorado. Barry did my BHS in 1997 and it still looks like it just came off the mountain. He does good work.

Ron, I just got my moose skull back from Dave today and as you saw he has my ram too, I have really enjoyed getting to know him the last few months!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
