What round boot laces are you guys using on your hiking boots? I’ve tried a different few pairs recently and they’re all starting to fray, and will soon break, after 10 - 15 lace ups. Never really had a challenge finding good laces until the past few years…. Looking for a pair that’ll at least last most of a hunting season.
I use the Kenetrek laces.

I buy the KG Extreme laces. They are the most durable i've found
I don’t scrimp on anything when it comes to hunting gear…except boot laces. I get mine at Walmart and they last for years. These other guys must be abusing theirs! Ha!
bb,
Those KG are looking good, I’ll give them a try.
Thanks!
Rub in a coat of whatever boot grease you use.
Have gone to leather laces prevents thorns from getting in laces and then sticking in fingers when tying boots.
great laces with kevlar from amazon
heard about them from someone here
they are great

Rhino Laces were recommended to me by the guys at Crispi Boots. They are the best I've seen or used.
Going to 550 paracord or similar with cord-locks was a game-changer for me. No knots to tie/untie. Can easily operate the cord-locks with frozen fingers, gloves and mittens. Micro-adjustable for snugness. Works best with a couple of d-rings, etc. instead of small eyelets at the top of the boots.

I've recently found a new favorite and the same used laces will likely go on the next pair of boots when they wear out. Not even a fiber seems out of place after months. Seriously, I think they will outlast the next pair as well.
Ironlace Unbreakable. they are a braided lace rather than a "covered" core lace. Even the "Kevlar" laces mostly use a basic cover over the core. I found while the lace cores never "break" the outer layer does and really don't last a whole lot longer than cheaper laces. The outer coat breaks then ball up and are all but worthless.
These even hold up pretty good for welding (not many do) and IMO hold a knot really well. And they are fairly thin, not big fat things that won't thread in eyelets, etc. Very impressed so far, when the laces start wearing on my Lowa's I'm going see how these work. They are stiffer for sure. We will see.
Great Laces (kevlar) fan here.
