Your scouting buddy has nice glasses. Tell him to step lightly so he doesn’t wake you up.

Weiner dogs are the best. Mine use to play heck with the moles and Mice around the house and go on plenty of trips through the woods. Both are in the middle teens now and just do not have the legs to go very far in the woods now.

Cole had a blowout on the side of the road once while out training. Had to call the wife to come get him. He definitely wouldn't fit in the backpack.

Did he drool on you?
We used to have one of those kid carrier packs when my kids were little and when they fell asleep they would drool on my head.

I think he is playing with your mind. He probably was thinking “Man he’s crazy if I’m hiking all the way back to the truck “. I’ll just play I’m asleep And he will carry me back lol. That one is Extra special for sure and needs to be framed .

That's awesome man! The old pups deserve a lot of care and respect! I have carried more than a few out of the field when they get tired! I love them all!

Hey, they get old too ! My JRT is now a senior citizen and he has definitely slowed down. He can still find a deer or a hog though ! ;-)

Cool pic! My girlfriends wiener dog is just good for photo ops. Not sure I'd ever take her into the woods- even though that was a "selling point" when she was trying to convince me it was a good idea to get her. I fought it like crazy at first, but now I kinda like the little turd. If she wasn't a long hair I'd probably have to cut her loose on a blood trail.... couldn't imagine the nightmare picking burrs out of her.

If you ever question who has the most love, respect and loyalty for you in life, lock your dog and your spouse in the trunk of your car for an hour and see which one is happy to see you when you open it.
Humor of course, please don't ever lock your dog in your trunk.
