Mule Deer

I thought by now some bucks would be posted. I wonder if Randy Ulmer has shot another stud buck this season. Good luck everyone and post them up when you get a chance.
Saw this on FB. What a unique stag.
Stalked a couple hundred yards across open shale to put an arrow in this guy. I would just go foot by foot over the course of 3hrs. With no cover, I relied on moving ultra slow and only when a cloud would go over or strong gust of wind went through. It was so much fun because I didn’t think it would’ve been possible.
After blowing a chance at my target buck earlier, I wasn’t climbing back down with trying it!
Good work DL!! Bringin up the FB posts! Love it!
YZ!! Nice work dude!!
Great stuff YZF, any buck in the high country is earned and a worthy trophy. Sounds like the impressive stalk made it even better.
Beautiful country....congrats.
Good for You Jason!

Utah , great Bowhunt , only one arrow and went 20 yards ,, had a great time scouting , even had a small bull moose run by my truck at 40 yards . Tom
DL, was that a fenced deer? If not,,,,, holy crap, that thing is wild.
Some bigguns coming out of Utah.
It’s out of Utah. I’ve taken a Blacktail and a mule deer stag over the years. I really like going after them because they are so unique. The ranch I’ve hunted in Oregon has another one up there I’d like to go after.
Great buck yzf-88
I love open country spot and stalk hunts.
Lots of fun!
Awesome YZF & bowhunter1 !!!
Great bucks guys. Love hunting season on Bowsite ! At my age, it’s better than nekkid women ! ;-)
My first velvet deer! Took him on day 8 of an 8.5 day hunt - got my money's worth outta that one!
Utah DIY general unit. Day 3 of a 2 week trip! Get to save some vacation for a change!
Saw him with a group of bucks from a couple miles out on the first night and was able to get up to the basin they were in the next day and then killed him on the first stalk. I was due an easy one!
My first kill with a release aid… South Dakota Still hunting a winding creek bottom

Ran into this buck as he fed to me . He turned and fed quartering away at 30 yards. I couldn’t pass it up. Sometimes the lord just put them in your lap

Muleys have had my number the past 3 seasons. Punched my first Nebraska tag on this one Monday evening!
Nice bucks, guys. I ate tag soup in CO this year. Didn't see the quality I've seen before in our unit.
Blessed this Morning, after tag soup on a 14 day OTC CO elk hunt. (California Blacktail)
In that tough time for mule deer, and blacktail…
Killing them from now till the rut kicks in is tough! Especially with a bow.
Good luck to the guys still sluggin it out for mule deer and blacktails! Looking forward to what gets turned up thru the rest of the year…. Could be some big uns!
Here is my son’s Southern Alberta velvet MD.
Thx fellas. The buck is a stud. It will score over 190” velvet. Impressive and hard to kill them. 28 yd shot.
Easy to understand why some just LOVE to hunt big mule deer bucks.
Cool buck OR! Like the shreds of velvet hanging!
You’re getting pretty good at this bowhuntin stuff, Zach!!
Beautiful buck, Zach! Obviously the way to deal with that monkey is to rip him off and stomp him! Congratulations!
^....well done with a one-stringer! Congrats...
Had been looking for this guy for a while and sealed the deal tonight. Don’t come from an area with big mule deer, this was the best one on the property I hunt so a trophy for me.
Nice Mulies guys. Jake brake what’s you bow setup Pretty deer
Altitude
60” Striker sport recurve 50@28 (I draw 29)
Full length 400 shaft with 225 up front…MA-3 broadhead

So far I sure like this bow…Getting used to the grip a little bit she sure shoots nice!
Tagged out in Nebraska, spot and stalk, 31 yard shot in his bed.
Congrats Marty. That is a beauty.
Sorry to hear you’re tagged out in Nebraska, Marty!… ;-)
Great buck. Congrats!
Congrats everyone!!! Some gorgeous bucks in here!
Dang Marty, that’s a heavy antlered buck, congrats ! He looks pretty old too.
Congrats to all you guys, and thanks for posting !
Great Nebraska buck Marty! Congratulations!
Thanks guys, taxi thought 6 1/2 year old by his teeth. Feels crazy to be done deer hunting before November! Guess I'll be watching for hunting stories on here!
October 11 in Saskatchewan
Tman, What a buck. Congrats to all
Hell of a buck tman! Congratulations!
I know people are going to ask. Slick Trick Standard
Got this one 3 days ago in SE Montana (Rifle). I didn't see any muley bucks NE of Missoula so I went back to the Broadus area and got this one the first day back. I passed on some whitetails and a smaller muley hoping to get a decent muley and it paid off. I was a happy camper as a muley was my goal after the antelope harvests. Word was it is a tough muley season for many public land hunters in that area. I talked to quite a few guys. Seen some massive elk in the taxi shop.
Rershooter! Wow, Nice buck! Pretty short blood trail.
Warning: Rifle kill. Close out of thread if it bothers you.
My 15 year old daughter got her first ever deer after a couple of unsuccessful seasons. She plays hockey so our days are very limited. She made a perfect 200 yard shot on this buck with 15 minutes left in the season. I couldn't wipe the smile off her face. We had a great last day with my buddy's 15 year old son harvesting a nice whitetail and then my daughter's muley buck. It's a gift to hunt with your young kids no matter what weapon.
Congratulations to the young lady on a dandy muley.
Quinn, tell your daughter nice job and congratulations on her 1st deer and thank you for keeping the tradition going. Our Children are our future, teach them well and we'll reap the rewards as will those that come after them.
Went to SD to shoot a big whitetail, with the thought that I'd shoot a mulie if it came through the river bottom, which they do occasionally. Well, a small mulie gave me an opportunity I couldn't pass up. It was my first mule deer so I killed him.
Quinn…..I hope your daughter’ cheeks hurt for a week!! Congrats to her on her first deer! Hopefully many more in her future!
My Nebraska “whitetail “

Sorry, not letting me rotate photo.
A bunch of great bucks & hunts here, thanks for sharing and a big congrats to your daughter Quinn...that's special!
Tried rotating my image 4 times already. Still haven't gotten it right. LOL.
November 17.
November 17.
I passed on this buck a couple times, but the third time his luck ran out.
My hunting partner took this old regressive buck several days later in the same spot. Basically a huge fork with three extra sticker off the G2 on one side. APR’ s usually protect these bucks, but when they get old they keep adding mass and often stickers.
Congrats guys! Here is my Colorado buck from a few days ago.
Wow! So many awesome bucks and fabulous memories across the board! Congratulations to all these wonderful bucks that are getting taken! Several true monsters here in the late season! Keep em coming! Good luck to those guys out there still pounding away at it!
Very impressive! Congrats to all.
Bill, another great buck from up there! Congratulations!
Congrats guys. Who isn’t a sucker for a nice Mule Deer.
Thanks Lou! We need to meet up here soon and tell some hunting stories. I have some good ones this year.
Some incredible bucks on display!! And inches is many times surpassed by the accomplishment itself. Congrats to a lot of dedicated hunters!
Bill V, that is an absolutely beautiful buck and perfectly pictured to show just how majestic a Mule deer looks. The pic may downplay the mass to. Be very interested to know the score.
Actually, it would be nice if anybody that did score their buck added the green gross to the thread as well. Not just "the big ones" either.
12yards, looks like the pic is orientated correctly finally. Nice first muley! Hopefully doesn't turn you off the ugly cousin whitetails ;)
Congrats on a great buck Bill V!
Did you have a plains archery tag or bow hunting the rifle season?
What a collection of fine Mulies so far. As a rifle hunter for those critters I admire anyone who can get in close enough to seal the deal on a Muledeer buck. That's an accomplishment and then some. Jim
