All most time. Can't wait for screaming bulls and bloody Arrows!
Have a great season, Forest!
Good luck and fill some tags!
Jealous…best of luck!! Be safe.
A special time of the year for sure. Stay safe and may you and your hunters enjoy much success this year.
Hope you and your hunters have a great season. Stay safe!
Looking forward to you dropping us there on the 1st
Found some raspberries so we had to have pancakes!
Took 3 days to set up two camps because of rain
Nice Forest......be safe and have a great season. Love to see some moisture up there this time of year. I can remember many a year of choking on the dust of the buddy in front as we trekked across meadows in the dark to reach our morning hunt spots.....on foot kicking up dust. Can't say that was awesome.
Packing most of my camp in this weekend then will be back Weds night jazzed for another season. That way on Weds I don't have as much to pack in...just my food and my hunting gear. I have my gear all sorted and packed in bags to go into my Kifaru pack. Trying a gravity feed Lifestraw Flex for water filtration this year.....and have a back up of purification pills if that doesn't work out.
Almost getting excited.
Nice! Thanks for posting the pics. Can’t wait to get out there this year.
Good Luck to you and your hunters!
Good luck Forrest! Take us with you....................... ;-)
Looks pretty nice Forrest! Leaving tomorrow myself to get camp organized where I guide. Will be lots of fun. Good luck to you guys!
Hell ya!!! Good luck to you folks, great looking group!
ElkNut
Yep, me too. Half my camp in, two weeks ago, the rest when I hike in and up next Tuesday morn. The stream I usually get water from 75 yards from camp is totally dry this year but I found a small spring 400 yards down stream coming out from a hillside. Good luck with your outfit. Paul
I tell non-hunting friends this may be our greatest remaining realization of freedom in America. You get up in the morning, make your plan (right or wrong) and execute. I hope everyone has an awesome, memorable season that renews us in every way possible.
Looking very comfy on the mountain!
Have a Great and Safe season FB and crew,
Robb
Exciting for sure. Is that a puffy Sitka coat?
Thanks for sharing! It get me fire up! Good luck on your season and everyone else.
Thanks for sharing.
I’ll be packing my camp in Friday afternoon for the Oregon opener. We usually stay at the same spot the first two weekends, and then have to start moving around to other spots depending on where other people are at.
Luckily my camp has to fit in a kifaru pack, so doesn’t take long to pack up and relocate a couple miles away if needed.
Good luck with your seasons this year. Keep us posted how it’s going if possible. Sounds like you run a good operation!
Forrest which Klymyt pad is that on the cot
Hopefully one of these years I will be joining you Forrest. have a safe season!
Awesome. Looks like a great time
Good luck to you and your hunters this year.

Yes you did!!!!! Nice pic Forest.
I have a similar pic from 34 less than a mile off coffee pot next to a bermed up mud/water hole.....it was taken 2 weeks before season several years ago. Never sqw those elk again.
I know you will do better! Best of luck this season for you and your guides and your hunters!
Seeing those calves is exciting. Clearly in the right spot to find cows come the rut!
35F in mid august.....damn........even at 10,600' that is a little surprising.
