This nice bull was sitting in a drainage as I was scouting for Mt Goats.

one morning deciding where to look next...

enough to make me stop and take a picture as I was heading up another drainage

I saw him only for a moment during season just after peeling and was told he was killed on the other side of the divide weeks later

Great pics Stoneman! Mongo IS/was special! Amazing what nauture puts out, all by itself....No special feed, meds, vet visits...Most of those moose are in spectacular condition!

Moose have been pretty good subjects for the most part. Only a few have run away like scalded dogs when I got busted.

Unfortunately that may be changing for Colorado once they start releasing wolves.

I'm afraid the moose will be hit the hardest.

Stoneman, if I'm not mistaken that unidentified picture looks like one of Big Dan's old camps. The truck, Camper, side by side. Even the dog he took everywhere. Anybody else agree?
