Used to use them in NM and Colorado. Now I use more dangerous transportation

Horses.

I will be using this sweet ride on this year’s hunt. Gets 75 miles to the gallon.

Even tho they may be legal, be sure to check MVUM for seasonal closures.

Where I hunt, There are many dirt bike trails that close Sept 1.

Z Bare, Looks like the same thing I purchased 3 years ago (only mine's black). I put the oversize sprocket, heavy duty shocks, etc., for going up steep slopes. I have a total of about 15 minutes on it due to back issues. I love it, but since I can't use it, I'm going to sell it.

I rotated your pic.

Oversized rear sprocket and new chain will be an off season project.

Where I am hunting this year is horsechit 2 track so I won’t need the climbing power.

What brand of bike are those?

Where I am there are some trails open only to motorcycles, some closed to anything except 4WD trucks, jeeps, etc.. Be sure to check the MVUM, as cnelk suggests.

It's a Trailmaster "MB 200". Go to you tube -- a guy (Red Beard) does reviews of all kinds of bikes. The MB 200 scored about the best -- again that was 3 years ago when I purchased this one and put on the bigger sprocket, new chain, heavy duty shocks, as per his advise. Great little bike. If it wasn't for my medical issues I would keep it - it was fun as heck riding it around the yard.

Thanks for all the responses. Was thinking about using mine so I could get back in quicker on the horrible BLM roads.

Those bikes look fun but semi useless many places. We used Honda Fat Cats and Yamaha Big Wheels for years ... putting up steep hills in low gear where motocross style bikes were wildly doing the flying W up the same hills. Time goes by: I use a Fat Cat to irrigate and the Big Wheels are sitting in the barn.

I used a small Honda off road bike for years to get to some trapping areas. Worked great but you have to be careful in the snow.

Dirtbikes = insurance deductible + max out of pocket + surgeries + MISSED BOW SEASONS.

Don't do it.

You can't take anything with wheels in some areas and some areas you can't use things like quietkats

I'm going to be dragging logs across all the trails anyway, so forget it

Bowsiteguy, I certainly agree with your appraisal of the Honda FatCat and Yamaha BW200..they will go and do things no other M/C could ever do. I have several hunting friends with these bikes and my youngest son has 3 of them! As I have gotten older with less balance, I have switched to a 4x4 quad...but I was rewarded with many a great hunt with my trusty FatCat with 4# of tire air pressure and those wide deep tred tires!!
