Been on him him for a few days now. Fresh out wallow crossing hardball road.
Whats he score? Has great 3-4’s
Kind of spindly. I'm thinking a hair over 300. Love the white tips. Is there a burn area nearby where he could have scraped down?
He’s better than that, looks to be 7x7 his 4’s and 5ths are great. Put him in the ground so we can get an official score. Good luck.
I’ll guess between 335 and 345, maybe even a little better than that.
That bull will go….. Home!
Decent 7x7...345 net? Maybe higher?
Closer to 350 then 300. I don’t see a bad measurement on him.
use 18" as the distance fm horn to nose tip. 1 and 2 have a good curve and may be 17". 3 is nearly as long as 4 and between them are probably 35". 5 is about 13 and 6 should be 7. Mass should total 28.
Beam 50+
I think he's over 370
How did you happen to get that pic?
I think I’m seeing 340 ish. He’s got it all, but mass, and mass counts the most. Youngish bull with great genes.
Really surprised by some of the early estimations in this thread.
This is a typical 7x7 with good 3rds, 4ths, and 5ths. He’d be a 320 if you subtracted his 5ths. This bull is 350+.
I don’t have a clue, not an inches guy, but a beautiful bull.
I’m with Dale, I have no clue how to measure an animal. I will say 350+ though. ;)
Some rather conservative estimates here.....I see 365++
Still Something odd about the pic. Background....on a paved road, from a car? Bike? The bull is not paying attention to who took his pic....
Where’s the OP?
The range of scores here make this guess as blurry as the background
Yeah, you’d think he’d have slowed down more…
Does P&Y accept drive-by entries??
I don't know much about scoring an elk but that picture sure does look strange to me. I don't know much about photography or photoshop either so maybe I'm off base , just looks weird.
Anyhow, good luck on the bull.
Only have taken one big bull this guy foes not have his mass but i thought 350 was about as close i could guess.
No fresh burn but some old burn nearby.
I know nothing about elk but I'm with some others, there is something strange about this picture. Looks like it was taken from the middle of a road? Why is the background blurry? There's probably an explanation, maybe Zap will fill us in. That is a beautiful bull!
Looks like that picture was taken from a park somewhere that is nonhuntable.
The crystal clear bull and motion blurry background is what confuses me
I also would guess 350 or more.
Only have taken one big 380 bull , this guy does not have his mass but i thought 350 was about as close i could guess.
No fresh burn but some old burn nearby.
Looks like it was taken from a vehicle or UTV while driving by. The elk does look strange with that dark mud on body and antler............
Somebody is F0S. And it’s not me this time
Don't you think an elk would at least look at the vehicle driving by?
That photo is photoshopped, and poorly.
ki-ke is spot on. And by the way FOS stands for full of sh!t.
Just to play along; that bull is way over 350"
My first thought of the pic was that it was photoshopped, but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. I've been accused of doing that myself on BS with a big WT that I got pictures of and then killed.
Haha No its just a frame of video as we putted by him. Its a 16 sec video. Went by him at 5yds he turned his head an eyeballed us hard. Still have got on him in his fav wallow.
Very cool bull. Good luck
Thanks for clearing that up Zap! Send more pics when you get him down.
A 7x7 with every tine being relatively long...and we can't get a consensus that it's a big bull?! 340 easy, 350 likely, probably good bit higher. No way he's only barely above 300.
So, where in the hell can you drive 5 yards from a bull like that?
Sounds like you should have no problem killing him, so we can get an exact measurement ;^)
Ray Charles can see that bull will go over 330 without any problem.
Somewhere between 300 and 370, according to what I've read here. I'd send and arrow, and be very happy with this bull.
Heres another frame from video. Have not seen him think he crossed into Adjacent GMU
Much better job of "photoshopping!" ;-)
Doesn't matter. Shoot him...
"What's this bull go?"
Across the road :^)
Not legal to shoot in the right of way. Seen some results a few times of that stuff. No thanks.
Lot of talk about mass being the most important. There are 8 mass measurements on an elk and the difference between a good and great bull's mass measurements won't likely exceed 16".
There’s 14 measurements (this bull) for length…..which is a more important feature than mass, IMO.
What’s this bull go? Hopefully it “doesn’t go 20!” ;-)
335 due to narrow spread and mass not being way above average. A great bull for 99% of us that we would not harvest in two lifetimes with a bow.
“What’s this bull go?”
If at all possible, This Bull goes home….

That's true when you're looking at the highest end bulls. This bull is not that. Partly because of his mass. But no one's saying he's a 400 inch bull.
Take a look at his beams between his 2nds and 3rds on the second pictures. True, he's not massive, but there's no way with his tine length and number that he's spindly enough to be a 320-330.
This bull has a foot of G5 (total) and a foot of G6 (total) that most bulls of his mass don't have and that, IMO, is what bumps him from a first-glance 330 to 350+.

First thing that popped into my head was around 350". I've been close before. I wouldnt pass it up if that rack went 250. Size isnt everything
I want to know how Zap (Shawn Magyar) is elk hunting last week and this week on this thread and how JV (also Shawn Magyar) was in the ER all last week on the “ Biden to Force Feed Covid Vaccinations” thread?
“ I been in ET today of 4th largest city in worst covid state in nation right now. People are dying having been vaxd to i saw die yesterday were vaxd. There were iver 70 had diabetes, smoked for 50yrs had heart issues.”
What a complete sociopath.
Regardless nice bull. I score him as “a once in a lifetime chance” or “stop shaking and don’t screw this up” big for someone from KS.
KSflatlander's Link
KS. He owns you.
So damn funny.
Go fish or feel the grass.
Nice looking bull but no way he goes over 350.
Where would you find an elk that mature that lets you drive buy that close on a paved road and take photos? Hmmm…
By the looks of the elk he has been rutting. Sometimes elk, deer, moose etc in the rut loose their right mind. Unfortunately for people it doesn't even take the rut.
No way that bull is 350, not much spread and no mass.
That bull is HUGE y'all! Spread?! What's he 5" shy of what you'd dream of?! I'm glad we're getting some stuff figured out around here.
