If money was not an issue which place do you choose to hunt for a nice 60" moose?

It would always be Alaska for me because I get far more pleasure hunting moose on my own than going guided anywhere. Sorry, but I just can't walk in the tracks of a moose guide. I love the Yukon for its wildness, but moose are still moose. Alaska holds plenty of giants.

I’ve been thinking of going back moose hunting, for the last time. Debating Yukon or Alaska. And I would go guided.

I’d probably just ask Nick. He’s my mentor. :^)

I’d did what Nick said and killed a 63” moose… but I also shot a 61” moose in the Yukon. ;)

I would try the Yukon with Jack Goodwin of Northwest Big Game Outfitters, and if I couldn't book with him Jim Shockey's Hunting Adventure's. Both these guys have great reputations for great camps and big bulls.

Ak hands down. Listen to Nick if guided. If DIY you are 3 years plus out. Research, transport and get in line. Good luck and enjoy.

A classic horseback hunt in the Yukon. Been on two.

Both have big moose and good outfitters. Do your homework to find the outfitter best for you.

Yukon Big Game Outfitters call Shawn Raymond. Lots of game and the hardest working guides I’ve ever met. Big bulls! I hunted there last year and friends hunted there this year.
