Nice mature buck for where I hunt but I have seen better. Let him walk by at 15 yards this morning.

Why were you hunting while hanging upside down? ;-)

I would have peed my pants way before he got to 15 yards

I don’t know I could’ve let him walk. Nice buck!

I’d shot him.

He is a nice mature buck, but I have seen better. Saw one yesterday evening that was heavier and taller and had a nice fork in his right G-2 but he never came into range.

Just the fact that you are making a thread about letting him walk tells me you are already regretting your decision.

Don't ask me how I know this. :)

Can’t shoot a 180, if you shoot ‘em when they’re a 150 (if that’s your goal). Good for you, Txhunter58!

This is on my ranch near Junction Texas. I have been hunting it since I could walk, so I am pretty picky.

Nice country. My BIL has a lease there. Had it for years Good deer, some exotics. Mostly a place to just get away

We do have quite a few exotics too. But FYI: all low fencing, free range

I would probably have tried to smack him, but I’m a meat hunter.

Love the variety of critters around Junction. Also love Lum's brisket sandwich.

Yea his is free range animals too

I got Lum's a couple of weeks ago as went through Junction on the way to Ozona.

That is some great BBQ I like Coopers too, but not the one in Junction

Can I come down and shoot the axis?

What are the rules on them down there anyway? Open year round?
