I was recently packing my bow for a trip. I have a SKB Double Bow Case. I came up with the idea of protecting my string and cams using pipe covering and “tiger tail” plastic ties. Idea works.

I packed enough plastic ties for my return trip. Recovered string and cams and cinched the plastic pipe cover with the plastic ties.

Thought I would share travel tip with others. Total cost of supplies was less than $3.

Not a terrible idea but isn't that the point of spending the money on a SKB case

Not a bad idea. Another tip: Surround your bow with clothing right up to the 50# limit. Protects the bow and saves baggage fees.

BTM- I always use my clothing as a packing protector. My case weighed 47# this last trip.
