Photo quality is excellent! Second photo was great but way too big to fit this laptop's screen.

I always resize my photos to be about 470 pixels in the vertical direction, with the 'keep proportions' button checked, and pix fit fine. And *crop*, people, please!

First pic was cropped to size, second was reduced without cropping.

(After cropping pic 1, I checked size, didn't need to shrink. Either way works, alone or in combination, depending on desired picture composition. And yes, Alice, there are a ton of videos on the internet about basic picture taking. With digital cameras and tools it's a thousand times easier than the film days. I can remember taking a masked print and it's negative to the photo store and explaining to the tech how I wanted my enlargement cropped. Today that's a 30 second process! Sorry about the digression!)
