What size cooler will fit a frozen elk cape? Guessing 75 qt?

I bought a large soft-sided one at Walmart. I put the cape in a garbage bag and put it in the cooler. Then froze the whole cooler and flew with it as a carry on. It weighed in at 49lbs.

I think 75 quart is too big.

Are you talking a full body cape, or just a shoulder mount cape?

A shoulder mount cape should fit easily in a 45 qt, or maybe even smaller.

I have no clue on a full body cape.

My 50 qt igloo was too small.

I put a 300 class bull cape in a box in my freezer, roughly 18"x18"x10". I'll try to double-check the dimensions for you. That was cut plenty long behind the shoulder for wall-pedestal style. I could easily fit a cape into a 45 quart. But if you want to have room for ice (recommend dry ice or else freeze water bottles so you don't end up getting the cape overly wet) you may want something little bigger.
