I just got home from a Type 3 Whitetail buck only hunt (2nd Choice) in the Buffalo Valley area, Units: 148/149 & 156.
The lodging around this Grand Teton area by Moran Junction and the South entrance to Yellowstone is some of this thread topic too.
Hopefully this will help some of you planning a trip out here for a Summer Vacation with the Fam-Fam.
Thanks for taking the time to view All.

Other than 1 Cow Buff hunter and his buddy from Indiana, I had the place all to myself.
Rustic and very Western in style.
It is paved to the ranch
I just still hunted thru and sometimes glassed from a vantage point and then spot-n-stalk. It's a lot thicker and taller brush than 'From Above' pix make it look.
Quite a few 2 x 2's and 2 x 3 Whitey bucks on my first morning of hunting.
More to follow------->

Good luck, Robb
I'm running late but I've got the PM's answered.
Yes, I can start adding the over lap elk units with the deer units.
This is 148 deer/elk 81, sure Grizzz and Wolf county
Hatchet Resort is closed until Snowmobile season picks up but it's real nice and close to Moran Junction for the pay booths to get into the parks via that route.
You can hunt/hike/explore right off the property to the south as its all FS ground for miles and miles southerly
Deer 156/elk 81
I've had some dang good luck in this area but some hunting options have changed over the many years.
Many of us got a lot of our Boy Scout Merit badges at Camp Loll via Grassy Lake Road.
How they got those big Yella school busses down that windy/switch back road to the Camp Loll still amazes me......
I pull up to the stop sign out of Flagg going to turn right/south back onto the main road and as I'm turning, I see something come out of the Lodgepole pines on the North bound lane.
Not another vehicle or person seen all morning so I'm like what the heck and reach for my bino's but switch to my iPhone.
Most every pic I got had my sideview mirror or my side door jam in the pic except this one!
3 out of 4 paws off the ground, in stride and she didn't hesitate at all as she cruised past me in the north side biking lane
Her yellowish/golden eyes sure were locked on me.....
I'll wrap it up and answer any questions or PM's I get by tomorrow morning.

Once I got out of the Teton park boundary, I had about 3 miles to hunt before I hit the Wilderness boundary.
Sorry, I do not know the fishing regs.....
A first for me, having a bowsiter ask if his wife could ask me some questions about the area as they/she is putting together a vacation for the Fam-Fam.

I wondered why I had some PM's about this thread when I just got home from my JH trip.
Good luck, Robb
