From articles I have read it sounds like an amazing hunt. Between the food and the beach resort to awesome hunting That is a bucket list trip for sure. Can't wait to read the write up on that one when you get back

Curious, of all the places to hunt Rusa what made you choose there? And what is the routing now to get there, still through the UK ?
I had a friend years ago that went and did spot and stalk. He said it was incredible experience!
He fished there on another trip there with his family and caught several huge Black and Blue Marlin

I bow hunted Boar in Mauritius in 2019, seen plenty Rusa.
Went with a great guide Lionel Berthault. I would definitely recommend him.
I haven’t hunted Boar elsewhere so have nothing else to compare to unfortunately.
If you zoom in on this picture, you can see large numbers of Rusa deer just below the tree line.
I know a dude from Indiana that was supposed to go last year, even invited me, but got cancelled due to the Chynuh Plague.
So awesome all the interest in this hunt it will be an adventure.

Bill, The fishing looks like some of the best in the world for billfish. Will you fly out of Joberg? How long of flight is it to the island
Im going to Paris then down with flight issues out of joberg. I think all in all about 20 total from US , leaving out of chicago. Yes fishing looks awesome
The guy I was going with had covid and used up his vacation days anyone want to go with me
Go with the « Le chasseur Mauritien » outfitter run by Lionel Berthault. I hunted with him in 2008 If I remember well and a good friend of mine in 2019. He is a bowhunter as well
