I’m new here but thought I’d do a little recap on our Saskatchewan whitetail season. All in it was a good year. We had some nice deer running around and had an 80% rate. We had a lot of rifle hunters but I do like having bow hunters and would like to start catering more towards them. Most of our stands are with 20-40 yards. Here’s a few of the bucks we killed this season. We’re nearly full for ‘22 but if anyone is interested in a hunt let me know and we can plan something for ‘23. Adam

Thanks. These deer are usually have big bodies. I would say 250lb would be average and some get up around the 300lb mark

I hunted Manitoba twice. First time I missed a huge, palmated nontypical running across a swamp that would have scored well over 200". Ended up shooting a 152" on the last hour of the hunt. 2nd year I got really sick and shot a 135". Flew home and there was a 150" buck in town tending a doe in a cedar thicket across the street from my archery shop. Go figure.

Sounds like at the last hour you shot one so you wouldn’t go home empty like a NR wouldnt that so many talk about. The last hunt did you shoot a 135 because that’s what your goal was or as a NR shot one just so you wouldn’t go home without killing something. Valid question for discussion.
