Early or Late September for Alaska Moose

I was fortunate enough to draw a moose tag for Alaska this fall. Going in DIY in a drop camp. Between work and other hunts already scheduled I'll be able to hunt 10-12 days. Any advice weather the first half of second half of September is best?

Definitely 9/11 and after. Been there twice near your area. Killed on Sept 12 and Sept 16. Season ends on the 20th

The later the better. Every day after the 20th gets better if your in a unit that goes until the end of September

The later part of the season it is! Thanks everyone! Plenty of research to start doing now, as I put in on a last minute recommendation with a contact for a pilot. Didn't expect to draw but am happy to be headed back up to that great state.

What tag and what are your options? There are some late hunts….
If you are after a trophy bull then last two weeks of September. More time the better with moose, you never know when may (or may not) show up.

cnelk is correct. Season ends on the 20th in that unit. Dates are arranged to go in for the second half. As usual September cant come soon enough.
