Some of you guys might remember Hee Haw and ole Stringbean. Well, he was telling a story about his days in the war where the bullets were flying so thick that he ran and jumped in the "wolf hole". They said, String, you mean the fox hole, right? He said, well a fox might have dug it, but there was a wolf in it when he got there. :)

If you set a trap. shorten the chain to about three links unless you put it on a drag. They will lunge out of the trap with a long chain if it isn't on a drag.

Ahh spypoints...Based on the length of the legs in the first pic I would lean towards wolf. I assume the snow is gone or crusted so tracks are out of the question?

Hard to tell . 1st pic looks wolf from what I can see 2nd looks coyote. Because it looking more like a yote in one pic, and just the sheer chances of coyote/wolf and because when you see a wolf it's usually a no question you know it kind of deal if I'm a betting man I'd go with coyote.

Looked at other wolf pics some have pretty fluffy tails also, the ones here have the curl tail like a dog when mobile dont seem to be that fluffy still trying to kill one lol. Might be wolf

Long legs, so could be a wolf. He tucks his tail like a coyote. Wolves carry their tails straight back when running, and this guy is just standing. Hard to tell. If the nose and snout showed in a bigger picture that would help. Coyotes have a pointed snout, a small nose pad, and larger ears than a wolf. Either way, lock the chicken coop and bring in the dog for the night.
