Our Tourism Association just sent out a memo to members that the Covid testing to get into Canada will be lifted within weeks. Suggests by end of month. No mention on unvaccinated.

Great news! Been trying to understand the current requirement of the Rapid test whether its good for a 24 hour period prior to crossing ....or simply the day before which could give you up to 48 hours given on when you take it.
This new development makes it a moot point.

Nope. Because policy makers refuse to acknowledge natural resistance created by having the virus. Until that happens, common sense isn’t present.

Just back from 6 day trip to Sioux Lookout. Did the 24 hr Rapid test and filled out the Arrive Can app. Crossing border pretty much a nonevent. Coming back in US just asked how many fish basically.

Our Association wont give its members false hope... here is what the Director of the Association says: Word is that good news is finally coming our way. The Federal Government is expected to remove testing requirements for entry into Canada in the coming weeks. There are some indications that it will be by the end of the month of March. Stay tuned for more details as they come available.
I have heard rumblings this was about to happen but now I believe the testing will be gone by Spring Bear Hunt in Canada.
