Hogs aren't exactly an elite big game species, but they can be challenging. Here's a newly published article about one such hunt. Rumor has it, the author is a Bowsite member.
That’s a damn big pig!
Did you get a Euro mount outta the deal?
I think I would like to be able to hunt them, but I KNOW that I am glad that we don’t have them here.

Congratulations, big boars are special! Very informative article, well done!
I got both, a shoulder mount and a euro mount. I did the euro mount myself.
Well done on both counts!
That’s impressive. I guess I should have figured, but I had no idea just how sturdy the sockets are for those machetes…
But I gotta ask…. How’s the eating on something like that?
Corax - On wild hogs, amazing table fare. You often hear about big boars being less-than-good eating, and I suspect there's a measure of truth to that, but if you take the same care as with any big game animal, you'll be surprised how good they can be. Of course, a smaller sow increases your odds of impressing your friends at the bbq.
Now is the time to kill them before it gets to hot and they run all the fat off.
