Trying second time for brown bear, this time near Lake Illiamna Ak with Deruk Harbula, 10 day camping, spot and stalk. Anyone had same experience? Confident in my 65# Triax 480 grains total with 125 grain 4 blade slicktricks,very accurate

I did brown bear over bait last year.
I shot a 70lb matthews with a 425 grain arrow tipped with a 2” rage
The arrow went right through the chest.
Your set up is completely fine in my opinion. Bears ribs are not that tough from what I saw. Now the leg bone or shoulder - don’t even get close

JG X2^^ Not a brownie, but I killed a grizzly last year with a 2” Rage Trypan out of a70# bow. He didn’t go 4 steps.

Your set up should work fine, with good shot placement. I arrowed one over bait several years ago. My set up was 70#, 470 total arrow weight, tipped with an Iron Will, 125V. The arrow blew through the chest and was stuck in the ground behind him. He ran about 80 yards and left a tremendous blood trail.
