Shot this female making her way across my clover field at 3AM. Dropped it and went back to bed.
Next day I picked it up and it was carrying this big woodchuck when I killed her. She never let it go.
Had to put my foot on her neck to tear it loose. The force in those jaws is incredible.

That’s interesting. Couple years ago my son was in a tree stand and had a coyote walk by carrying a duck in its mouth.

I wonder if the 'hog was out at night or if she dug it out.
Years ago while bowhunting, I seen a coyote go into a thicket and come out five minutes later with a cottontail. Then it hopped up onto a stone wall and walked on top until it was out of sight.

Might be an NRA member. “When they pry my cold, dead jaws”….or something like that.

There is a farmer in my area that won't allow coyote hunting because the coyotes kill woodchuck. Says the coyotes are saving his soybeans.

By morning the jaw had rigormortis. At 3 it probably would have been easy to get out. Cool kill either way though.

Wont be long and someone will introduce a bill to place a pack of timber wolves in there ---- that'll solve your coyote issues.
