Kelly and I are excited to announce that we are the new owners of Coulter lake guest ranch in rifle Colorado. This doubles our hunting area and gives us a ton of summer activities. We will also operate in the winter with snowmobiling.

Fishing is good. State stocks the lake. Lake was drained and is filling back up now. We have back country Fishing camp and it's great for cuts and brookies

Congrats Forrest & Kelly! I have stayed there many times over the years. It is a beautiful, great place to stay, relax, fantastic fishing and functions facility. So glad to see this lease picked up by a reputable outfitter. We usually camp a couple miles up the road and if we get drawn we will stop in and stay.

Used to hunt the Coulter Mesa for deer and elk back in the 90's.... Beautiful country! The dudes out of the ranch hauled many a critter out for us back then. Good luck with your new enterprise!! Kip

Coulter Lake Guest Ranch. Nestled in a beautiful valley on a pristine mountain lake in western Colorado, Coulter Lake is located three miles into the White River National Forest (WRNF) and is surrounded by incredible natural beauty and abundant wildlife. The WRNF encompasses over 2 million acres, bordered to the north by the Flattops Wilderness area and to the west by the Piceance Creek area.This popular guest ranch consists of 6 guest cabins, a main lodge, commercial kitchen, gift store, caretaker?s cabin and barn with tack room. Each guest cabin is spread spaciously among the aspen trees with lake views and is an easy walk to the lodge. The cabins have 1 to 3 bedrooms, a sitting area, private bathroom with shower, and a front porch with incredible views and privacy.
