Clover- FINALLY!Contributors to this thread:
Clover was sparse still during turkey season early April. Went down saturday to plant some buckwheat , and mow if necessary. What i found was amazing! Weeds and rye were nearly 3 feet high, but the clover was extremely lush and flowering! It just literally exploded in my two plots since turkey season. Mowed everything and it is starting to look terrific! Lots of deer around right now. Hopefully they have a reason to stay now. Got 100lbs of Buckwheat planted in some of my other openings as well. My mineral sites are getting destroyed too. Water tank i buried last year has tracks all around it. Everything is starting to fall into place. I will no-till some buck forage oats in the buckwheat this september. Also, i will overseed the clover plots again too.
