I’ve been looking for something like this for years! Was tired of trying to “guesstimate” how much water I am putting in my mountain house because of hard to see gradations inside my NON-see thru coffee cup! Found this at REI recently. It is clear plastic with easy to read markings 4, 8, 12 and 16 Oz. Also has an insulated foam sleeve with handle and leak proof lid with sealable “spout” for hot liquids.
Yep, that's going in my pack. Thanks!
I've used this same cup for quite a few years. Buy with confidence, it's a great cup.
Your welcome hdaman!
And you kept it a secret all these years Brotsky?! ;-)
Perry, thanks for the heads up!
Thanks for the reviews, I'll be buying with confidence.
Perry, I don't give up my cup honey holes easily! The same company makes a collapsible pour over coffee maker. Next level!
Yeah, and that GSI stuff is pretty good quality too.
LMBO Brotsky! : ) And thanks for the tip! I’ve always just used Folgers Coffee singles................ ;-)
dang, and i thought just highlighting the measurement marks with a permanent marker on the inside of my mug and cup was a smart idea
GDx- that is how I do it.
All nests together except the fuel canister.
All nests together except the fuel canister.
In my truck at all times along with some bottled water and a few dehydrated meals. Also, some BRCC instant coffee when I'm traveling.
“Caffeine pills“
Yeah but nothing like a hot cup first thing on an early cool morning. Gets the blood pumpin ya know.
I just use the old permanent coffee stain in my cup.
Sorry, not expensive enough for me. I'll wait until Yeti comes out with one for $98 that doesn't work as good and is way heavier, but the logo can be seen across a mountain valley. Functionality is for Neanderthals.
Looks like an excellent backpack cup. Thanks for posting.
I've used a set of green plastic 16 oz and 12 oz cups (no handles or cover) that nest together. I like two cups as I make cereal with milk in one, (or soup) and hot tea/tang/coffee in the other. Cups beat bowls since you can drink out them easier. Mine hold the heat plenty well without a cover or lid.
LOL Ambush! My wife calls me a Neanderthal! ;-)
Snowpeak stove w/pot and GSI insulated cup. OR Esbit stove/pot and plastic measure cup.
esbit
I just picked up this slick way to brew coffee in the backcountry. Clips to the top of your cup/mug, folds up flat and only weighs .4 oz
THANKS for the tip Brotsky!
No more Folgers singles! ;-)
I have my JetBoil press, but now I'm wondering...Lol
Amazing piece of equipment
Ike- I got the coffee press with my Jetboil years ago. But decided to keep my Jetboil “clean” as to not give a coffee taste to the water I boil. And clean up is much easier after I make the coffee.
“ Yeah but nothing like a hot cup first thing on an early cool morning. Gets the blood pumpin ya know.”
Based on my coffee-drinking friend’s morning regiments, it gets more than just the blood pumping.
For measuring water, I’ve always used a clear plastic cup with measurements lines on the outside drawn with a sharpie.
