Bears in the Aluetians

Howdy, how is the bear population specifically around Port Moller? My daughter is working for ADFG on the salmon weirs. So far she has only seen one sow with 2 cubs. Fish really haven't started yet so I'm thinking there may be more bears on the way. Thanks.
