Our Rusa deer hunt adventure starts Saturday with a flight to France then off to Mauritius we land about 6 am Monday. I will try and keep updated daily if I can. This is going to be awesome. They have shot some big ones this past week.

This is my dream hunt. I shoot sika deer in MD so I’d love to hunt what looks like a giant sika! I was looking at New Caledonia though in a few years. My Grandpa and his buddies all took a cruise through the coral sea a long time ago and said it was very exciting.

Great looking stags. Are you hunting over water or spot & stalk around field edges? Good luck marlin fishing. There should be a few hungry blacks and blues around.

What a week Bob and I had with Lionel Passion Guide Ltd this hunt was top notch from the day we first talked,, everything in our hundreds of emails from day 1 was spot on ,we can't thank Lionel Paul Berthault Kathleen, and little Lionel enough for sharing their home with us the last 6 days! The food was all authentic to the area and was awesome will post more on that. Little Lionel was 1 polit young man. We also had a great made that did all our laundry and cleaned our rooms and also did some of the cooking! Now the hunting was second to none, the mountains were just incredible and we saw many stags and wild boar. Day 1 I was lucky to stalk two stags fight for dominance, and I was able to sneak in for a 43 yards shot. The bull was hit hard and went down cliff into the river , we were all ecstatic as I took an awesome stag, Day two Bob was up, and after a few hours Bob was on a stalk for a massive stag, Lionel and Bob got into 26 yards and double lung shot with his arrow and stag was down in 80 yards. Again it was going to be a good night in camp. Day 3 arrived and we decided to hunt some more Rusa again Bob and Lionel had 1 insane stalk and bob was on board with a second monster! IT was so great to work with a world class guide that understands bowhunting. Thanks everyone this was a dream hunt!

I think you are missing a lot. Mauritius Is a small island just east of Madagascar. The only thing France has to do with the thread is he flew there to get to Mauritius.
