Just got back from East Cape and Northwest Province safari with Shaun Keeny Safaris. Took 10 Animals 9 with bow and 1 with rifle (Vaal Rhebok). Had an epic time.

Vaal Rhebok. These are in the mountains with little cover. Was recommended to hunt this with Rifle so did.

Congrats on a great safari! Thanks for sharing... Just for clarification, was your Cape buffalo arrow 650 grains in total arrow weight, or 650 plus the 315 grain broadhead for a total of 965?

Yes the total was 965 arrow and broadhead combined. The Wildebeest I hit a hair back and got off side lung just clipped the near side lunge. We let him go and then trailed after about 40 minutes. Had good blood and then saw him facing us. Head out slightly quartered toward. So took the follow up shot at 55 yards. Had the line right but his horn was covering his right shoulder and I was trying to get under it and you can see from the pic I center punched the horn. Got a follow up shot a little later.
