Goats and Bows ‘22
I live in a pretty cool spot. Located this guy from a long ways off Thursday. Loaded up my jet skiff to access his patch of turf and hiked in midday Friday. Got to watch him from 700 yards below for a few hours that evening. Saturday morning I took a route that put me up above his hideout and finally found him around noon. Had him back to the beach and jetting home just after sunset. Such cool critters. Lucky to get to hunt them every year.
Anyone else successful and/or chasing them this year?
that's amazing. I hope to have the chance to chase them at some point! There aint too many in Missouri haha
Lol, glad someone appreciated the lame humor!
Now you’re just showing off. Great looking goat. With all the time you saved only hunting sheep for a few days you could write a hat story up. I for one appreciate it! Congrats!
Congrats again Kaleb. You’re living the good life!
Gotta love it! Congrats again man!!!
Damn. You're a killing machine. Congrats. Love that first photo! Is that Kodiak?
It’s coming Randy!
About 700 miles east Quinn. Where the big goats live. ;)
Way to go, KB…..not the WR like your last one, but he’ll do! :)
Congrats, Kaleb. Well done and love the thread title!
You really are living the dream. North Americas premier animal, IMHO
Beautiful Billy! Congrats!!
Great Goat, congratulations! I'm hunting goats with Babine Outfitters in a few weeks.
That is so frickin cool and yes I'm so jealous, congrats man.
Freakin' awesome. Congrats!
Just awesome! Congrats Kaleb... Prestige Worldwide
Congratulations, Kaleb! Way to get ‘er done!
Congrats Kaleb! It's the freaking Alaskan Goat Mixer! Way to make your nut!
Lol Brotsky!!!! Good one!
Beautiful Trophy Photo!
Wow! Beautiful coat on that goat! Congrats on a great animal.
Congrats! But that doesn’t look like Kansas! ;-)
Luke will be a resident in April. Then he could take his dad. Whenever he sends me pictures of goats I alway ask if I could get to them. He says no. He could be wrong but if you see any where an old guy could to I’d appreciate a heads up.
LOL! I guess (as Jo Dee Messina sings) he's not in Kansas anymore......................... ;-)
Good for him!
Rut, I’ve been in AK for the better part of 8 years, and permanently since 2019. Changing my Bowsite profile wasn’t part of the residency requirements so it’s slid through the cracks!
That’s great Randy! Just happened to stumble across Luke and Adrianne’s elk packing cameo on YouTube last night. The goats and brownies will be in trouble for sure! Would be fun to team up for something! Not going to lie, this one wasn’t fun at all, but I might have something in mind that should be a little easier on the knees.
That's cool as heck! Congrats. You made it look easy.
Nice photos............I had heard the meat was terrible for years but it was just the opposite for me. Although steaks are tough, the ground meat has excellent flavor.
Another great "slow-goat", congrats buddy!
Very nice hunt and a great trophy- Congrats !!
You're a bad ass... congratulations Kaleb. Ed F
NOW THAT IS A GOAT. NICELY DONE. JET BOAT!, EVEN BETTER. RESIDENT!, EVEN BETTER. HUNT THEM EVERY YEAR!, EVEN BETTER. SHARE ON BOWSITE!, EVEN BETTER.
Congrats KB! Goats are so cool!
Might be my favorite thread title ever haha
Awesome job, KB!! Helluva goat to boot!
Heck ya!!! Congratulations!
Congrats on a beautiful goat!
Thanks fellows! Good luck to Ken and anyone else after them this fall. Hopefully we see a few more posted here!
Absolute beauty of an animal! Congrats man and thanks for sharing!!
Wasn't sure if "Hopefully we see a few posted here!" means this thread. If that wasn't your intent I apologize. I shot this 6 year old Billy on Sunday while hunting with Babine Guide Outfitters. I will do a write-up on a new thread when I get back home.
Yes, by all means post them up! Congrats Ken!
Congrats Kaleb. Good stuff…
Ken…That looks like mule deer country! Jack and Lloyd are awesome. Can’t wait to hear about it.
