We had coons getting into our apples so I set a couple of traps and was successful in easing our problem or at least I thought so.Then this guy shows up the trees are about 50 yards from the house and he was there for 4 hours. We now have an archery season where I live for bear this year I’m going to target them we have way too many.We are not allowed to bait but you can use minerals or scents any good advice from you bear hunters will be appreciated Good luck Lewis

He’s going to have a real urge for soft mast until the oaks start falling. If you got oaks close by, especially white oaks, set them in October. You’ll kill him.

Yeah, I don't think your wire trap is going to catch that guy. Be sure to post a picture of him once you get an arrow through him;)

Looks like a nice bear, especially here. Good luck, only about a month to go!

I would go with the bear foot snare system. Also go with coon cuffs for coon, avoid non-target catch. Releasing one of those is a real neat experience!
