Over the years Bowsiters and others have encouraged me to write a book. I have finally done so. It chronicles some of my Alaska adventures, as well as hunts in Africa, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and some L48 states. There's a chapter on my short career as an elk guide in NM.
The book is the unlikely tale of a skinny bowhunter from, of all places, New Jersey, who moved to Alaska and became Alaska Master Guide #79, was elected President of the Alaska Trappers Association and even served on the Alaska Board of Game and Alaska Guide Board.

These days I'm better at writing about my experiences than I am "adventuring!"
That said, in June I head off to Africa again. Maybe I can write the trip off as "gathering information" for a new book as a sequel!!!

There were a couple fires related to deer species in the book :)

Halfway through. I read a chapter at bed time. Solid book & very entertaining. You've got a good easy writing style Pete that puts the reader into the story. Highly recommend if you love hunting stories!
