The Colorado archery Elk and Deer early season starts on Sept 2, Friday. Not on Sept 1.

Here in Minnesota it is bear opening on Sept. 1st, deer Sept. 17. Yes, good luck to to everyone for a safe successful season and take lots of pictures to share!

We'll be hunting whitetails on some private we have access to and setting a bear bait, apples are getting ripe, chokecherries are already gone. Hoping something bigger than 80 lbs finds the bait. We have 3 nice WT bucks hanging out and a decent 4pt muley. Both are fair game for us. Cow elk may get hunted too, with a rifle though.

HA! Where I am hunting this year in CO there are no booners to kill. The best I've seen in my buddie's WY unit is a barely split at the 5/6 6X6. But who cares as long as we are in the woods chasing elk in Sept.

Great advice Jordan! I think the wife is literally cooking pork chops right now. With mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans from the garden. I’ll be in “shape” all right! ;-)
