That’s incredible. Hard to imagine it really. Tom is an incredible bowhunter for sure. Congrats Tom!
Oh, this was a Fannin sheep so can count as either a Dall or a Stone…
That’s a whole herd! Wow, an amazing accomplishment Tom!
FIFTH!!?!! FIFTH!!?!! REALLY!!?!? I would love to hear the stories, see the animals, read all about it if you will...but what I really want to know is the total amount of money, (travel, tags, applications, guides, equipment, supplies etc.) it took to do 5. Unreal. Huge congratulations.
Wowzer! Congrats Mr. Foss!
What an accomplishment! Guy is a machine!
Tom is an amazing man, not only his bow hunting feats, he’s raised some amazing kids, is one of the most charitable guys I know and been know to step into the ring on occasion! You meet/talk to him he’s so unassuming you’d never guess what he’s accomplished, couldn’t happen to a better person! My hats off to you Mr Foss!
An incredible, unprecedented, amazing feat!
Very cool!! Congratulations
Incredible. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats Tom great accomplishments Good Luck Lewis
They say you’re not a true sheep hunter until your 6th slam…but seriously when do you stop counting slams?
Unbelievable, wow. And gorgeous ram
When you add in his sons Cam and Adam's rams it truly is a family affair and quite the feat.Congrats Tthomas!!
If I was a ram I would not want Tom or any of his sons chasing me. Congrats on one hell up an accomplishment!
Pretty incredible accomplishment for anyone. That takes an extreme love of hunting and dedication even if one can afford it. Tom took the time to introduce me to and help me select a Stone sheep outfitter years ago at the Sheep Show and also gave me some good advice on Dall Sheep outfitters a few years before that. He’s definitely a generous guy and willing to help out others by sharing his time and knowledge.
wow, fantastic! Cant imagine there are many, if any, others that can claim 5 with a bow!
beyond cool! Can't imagine the $$'s invested to get there.
Always in awe of those that have got it done, but 5 is INCREDIBLE!
wow thanks treeline pretty amazing
Wow. Amazing. Can't imagine the aches and pains that were generated in that accomplishment.

Awesome ram. Great bow hunter, great sheep hunter, great dad, and I will dub him the Canadian Dos Equis guy. Can’t wait to hear the story in person in January.
Congratulations my friend.
Good things happen to good people. Looking a little tired there, old man.....LOL!!
Absolutely amazing accomplishment. Great guy, great family, great band of bowhunters!! Congrats Tom on a truly stunning ram and accomplishment.
And a beautiful ram!
Anyone willing to move to BC will have the option to hunt Stones and Bighorns otc, and Dalls on a draw. Would only need to figure out deserts….
Team Foss does it again!
Congrats Tom,
Robb
Congrats on another great sheep!
Congratulations on another incredible ram!
Most bowhunters will never even kill one ram. 5 grand slams is just off the charts. Awesome accomplishment Mr. Foss.
Congratulations on another incredible ram!
Tom and his sons set the standard for archery sheep hunting! Very pretty ram to complete his fifth grand slam!
Congratulations on another incredible ram!
Very impressive! According to the P&Y database he’s already got a start on #6. :)
Spectacular accomplishment ! Congrats !!
Tom, WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW,WOW, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nicely done. Paul
Just saw this. Well deserved. Can’t wait to hear the story. Can’t help to note that there is a lot of gray hair in that photo….. on the ram that is ;^)
Mr Foss.... awesome on a stick.... or with a stick? Awesome none the less.
Congrats on what most would have considered near impossible. One archery Grand Slam is impressive enough on it's own. 5? Can't wrap my head around it. Very rare air indeed.
WOW, Congrats Tom, that is an amazing Ram and one hell of an accomplishment. How about some more pics and a recap of the hunt? You're a true inspiration and example to all that's good in bowhunting. Good for you!
Thanks for the kind words. This was actually one of my easier hunts. We hiked hard for three days, the ram was two more days away but lucky for us he and the other big ram he was with were making their way along the range towards us. As Jake says "intersecting or something angles or vectors" We made a play on them and then a squall hit. There was a small ram with them and it was a bit nervous. When we finally sorted them out a big 11 year old broomed ram stepped out. At 60 yards I would have drawn and taken a shot. My friend said to wait for the big one. I thought I was crazy but knew this ram was close to 43 inches on the long side. He was a bit further but managed to make a good shot. Have been lucky to have hunted some awesome country and made lots of great friends. Fortunate to live in Alberta and hunt bighorns every year or skip a year if I got a ram. Have a safe and very Merry Christmas.
Always the humble mountain hunter and gentleman. Congrats Tom on something truly special!
That is amazing, Tom! What a fantastic accomplishment! I was in elk camp off grid and totally missed this thread. Friggin' WOW!
One hell of a ram, congrats again Tom!
That Ram really just looks like the country he lived in. Rugged.
Can't imagine how many times you've heard "congratulations", but what else can a person say. Amazing accomplishment!!
Congrats Tom! Beautiful sheep and an incredible achievement! We should probably just call you "sheep herder" at this point! :)
Am amazing accomplishment, congratulations
Thanks for the follow up story Tom
Good luck, Robb
Congrats Tom! Fantastic! Curious, how many sheep hunts did you have that you didn’t get your ram?
Congratulations. That’s a tremendous accomplishment.
Ironbow Tough to answer that. I hunted for 20 years before I killed a bighorn so that would have been hundreds of hunts and even more days. I have hunted quite a bit after and without getting a bighorn here in Alberta. Stone sheep - probably or 4 but several in the Yukon where we were looking for a fannin. Dall sheep - have been my hard ones. Three hunts before I killed on. Probably another 5 or 6 as well. Deserts - with all the help and spotters. was able to get a ram every hunt. I wouldn't go by my experience, because I wasn't just trying to get a ram or fill a tag. On hunts that I didn't get a ram, sometimes never got a chance or screwed up, but lots of times passed up rams that were not old enough or big enough. That would have been the case on the dalls and bighorns. Not sure that answers your question.
Congratulations..awsome ram
A sheep hunting legend and one of the nicest guys on the planet.
What an accomplishment! Congrats Tom!
Congrats ! Glad to see you’re still getting it done Definitely one of good guys out there!
I've got to agree with Mad Trapper. A really good guy......and you can tell that everyone feels that way, because when he walks around the Sheep Show (or probably anywhere else for that matter), EVERYBODY knows him and says hello....
Congrats! Amazing accomplishment!
I was fortunate to share camp with Tom on a Brown Bear hunt in Alaska many years ago. He will always be my hero.
HUGE CONGRATS Tom!!!
Epic accomplishment on the 5!!
Thanks for all your help, wisdom and advice over the years!!!
Mark
5 Sheep Slams? FIVE!!!! A guy that dangerous should be on a government watch list or something.
Hell of a feat. Congrats Tom!
I wonder how many sheep total Tom has, would be neat to see how many of each species
