I've hunted on the ground 80% of my 47 yrs of bowhunting..I've used treestands off n on but end up selling them. Had an M7 last year, great stand but I sold it because I found I wanted something with adjustable platform, even though I won't need that feature that often.

Bought a Novix helo, my brother bought one last year, I'm gonna committ to hunting with it thuis year. Easy to hang, 9lbs. Gonna see how the seat works out for me as far as comfort goes. I installed ft rest on my Helo. I don't hunt over about 13 ft so I won't be carrying a bunch of weight for my climbing method.

Enjoy! I've been bowhunting for 20 years now and basically all but the last 3 were using a Lone Wolf (same stand basically) and hanging it for every sit. Last few years I've gone to a saddle, and I find it much more conducive to that style of hunting. I still use a stand one or two times a year. My biggest suggestion would be to get nice climbing sticks. One or two pounds and a bit of space are so worth it compared to sweating in the morning.
