Years ago, my first guided hunt was for lion in UT and a blizzard shut us down. We were on a big cat but it was snowing too heavy to catch up to it (hunter got it the next week and it made the book). I always wanted to go back and finish what I started. I'm going after lion in CO in December. Took the online test this weekend.

Is that course required before you can lion hunt in Colorado?

Yes

Yes but they offer a good online review and you can take a practice test where they show you if your answers were correct for each question. It's not difficult.

Where you hunting and with who? Tagged mine about 15 years ago. Coolest hunt I have ever done! Listening to the dogs is just thrilling. Walking up to your cat in a tree , well that you never forget! Great meat too. Jim

I booked through WTA to hunt based out of Grand Junction, CO. He has the connections to hunt either CO or UT based upon conditions.

We hunted out of Collbran, north of Grand Junction. Hope it's a great hunt for you. Enjoy! Look forward to seeing your pictures and story. Jim
